Chapter 179 : Morena!!

As the dance approached nine o'clock, the Fourth Prince, Tserriednich, excused himself from the venue, claiming he needed to rest.

"Your Highness, Fourth Prince, please take care of yourself and don't overdo it," someone urged.

"Don't worry, Monsieur Duke," he replied with a polite smile, nodding at the guests as he made his way outside alone. He walked through a dimly lit corridor and fished around in his pocket until he pulled out his cell phone.

"It never ends," he muttered quietly.

The smartphone in Tserriednich's hand was the latest model, custom-made for him. He owned more than a dozen phones, but this one was his favorite and the easiest to use.

The smile he had just moments ago faded away. Now, his lips were pursed, and he looked like a different person.

He switched on the screen, the dim light highlighting his stubbled face—though many called it a "handsome face."

After scrolling through his phone for a while, Tserriednich suddenly frowned, stopping in his tracks and turning around.

A beautiful woman in a purple dress stood before him, radiating a mature charm and raising an eyebrow at the Fourth Prince. 

However, a flaw marred her beauty: two straight scars on her left cheek, crossing her eyelid, which gave her an unsettling aura.

This was Morena, the illegitimate daughter of the king and his lover. Born without the right to inherit the throne, she bore two scars as a symbol of her status, earning her the title " Second-Track Faker."

Morena also led the Heil-Ly Family Family, one of the three major Mafia family in the Kakin Empire.

Tserriednich stared at her for a moment, then suddenly sneered and turned away, continuing down the corridor.

Morena didn't mind Tserriednich's attitude; after all, it was nothing new.

She followed Tserriednich at a relaxed pace.

Morena noticed Tserriednich was looking at his phone without saying a word. After a moment, she asked, "Are you worried about the underground auction in Yorknew City across the ocean?"

Every year from September 1st to September 10th, Yorknew City holds an underground auction, and this year is no different.

In the past, only the "Ten Dons" organized the auction, but now the three major Mafia Family from the Kakin Empire have joined in, making it a total of thirteen major Mafia involved.

Since July, when Germain and his accomplices eliminated the "Ten Shadow Beasts," the ten Mafia under the "Ten Dons" have been in chaos due to pressure from within and outside.

Although the Ten Dons influence won't be wiped out, they will certainly suffer some losses.

"You want to remind me that the Third Prince, that fool, supports the Xi-Yu Family, and the Seventh Prince, that idiot, backs the Cha-R Family."

"You're implying that the 'War between Princes' has already started, right? If we don't take action, we'll be at a disadvantage when the real fight for succession begins, correct?"

"You just want us to go to war and plunge the Kakin Empire into chaos. Chaos is what you love the most, isn't it?"

Tserriednich lifted Morena with one hand, his fingers nearly squeezing her delicate neck.
