The Soultaker's Rampage

Lora has been discharged from the hospital because she is now fully recovered... Lance visits with Sebastian and the both of them accompany her back to the academy.

Lance introduces Sebastian as his friend, and they tell her the story of how they met. The trio reminisce about all the challenges they had faced to get to where they were now. Afterwards they promise to give their all to overcome any future challenges ahead of them.

But suddenly there is a "BOOM!!!" as the sounds of explosions could be heard in the distance. Civilians run for their lives, they are unsure of the danger, but not waiting around to find out.

Lance stares at the direction the explosion came from, and as soon as he realizes where, he rushes to the scene.

Lora and Sebastian follow their friend, not wanting him to get hurt. But Sebastian is the first to catche up with him asking. "Where are you going?!". He asks out of worry.

"That explosion came from my old neighborhood, I have to see if my mom's alright!". Lance yells as he runs off, leaving Sebastian behind.

Lora runs forward and stops Lance. "If there is trouble the Knights will handle it. Remember that you're still in training, if you get into trouble it could ruin your chance of becoming a Mage". Lora explains as she tries to reason with Lance, but he doesn't listen and runs off, so they decide to follow him.

There are two factions that protect the Heart Kingdom. The Knights who possess little or no magic, and the Mages who possess powerful magic. But currently all of the Mages in the Heart Kingdom were away on missions, leaving only the Knights to protect the Kingdom.

But the danger exceeds the capabilities of a mere Knight, and several of their bodies litter the streets, along with innocent civilians. Lance and his friends see all the carnage, and know they have to do something to stop it.

The trial of destruction seems to be heading towards the Noble Domain. So Lora and Sebastian decide to follow it, in order to find and stop the cause of the mayhem, and hopefully stop it.

They leave Lance on his own to search for his mother. He rushes towards his neighborhood and searches for her, only finding the bodies of those he once knew. Like Mr Manuel, and Brock the aptitude tester.

Eventually Lance finds his mother, she was lying still on the floor lifeless. Lance walks up to her body and held it in his arms, he cries for her, wishing he could have been there to save her, but for now, it was too late.

Meanwhile at location near the Noble Domain. The lifeless body of Sebastian laid on the floor, right next to Lora who was fighting a mechanical monster, but she is driven to an exhausted stated, and about to meet the same fate as Sebastian, and so many others before him.
