However, Icarus has no time to blame himself for his carelessness.
Since the monster appears to have finished preparing its attack
Icarus notices a clump of gray air forming in front of the monster's mouth, that grinds its two rows of sharp fangs one last time and then lets out a bark
That bark is several times louder than the previous ones
"BAAAARRRK!"
In less than a second, this clump of air becomes twice the size of the monster's mouth and rushes towards Icarus at full speed
Even without his instincts warning, he's sure this attack is extremely dangerous. If it hits him, it won't just end up with Icarus with some leaking organs
The huge clump of air approaches quickly and when it's less than five feet from his face
Icarus grits his teeth and does the unthinkable
