Chapter 17 Tyrant

(Cynesige's Pov)

I sat on the throne and look at the hallway I view in front of my servants and my guards, the announcer arrives in the throne room.

"Your Majesty, Count Malfas Warmont is here to see you." The announcer kneels and bows right before me and I said to him. "Bring him to me."

The Count came before I kneel and bow in front of me. "Your Majesty," I told him. "You may rise." As he stands up and behaves in front of me.

"State your business Count." He said to me. "Your Majesty, your troops have been defeated, and they failed to do their task completed," I responded. "The task about the goblin situation."

"That is correct your Majesty." Said bluntly. "The commoners who participated are not good enough for this task and they failed and disappointed us, the nobles, they deserved to be punished your Majes-"

Big sound cause by the door sounding. "What is this?" The royal ambassador, who is extremely angry at a rude person came into the throne room, interrupted by her.

"Your Majesty, please reconsider, those men don't deserve it, this man is lying and tells you they failed in fact, it was him that does the damage to your troops and got defeated in such a way!" The noble girl accused him of telling a lie in front of me.

"What nonsense you have! Do you have any evidence to back you up?" Count smirked in front of her. "Your Majesty, please he is lying!" "Silence!" I shouted in the throne room, and everyone is quiet.

"Do you have proof? That he's lying about this, you better have evidence." The noble girl said. "Of course." The noble girl pulled out her orb. This orb might let me see the truth behind this.

"This is witchcraft, your Majesty, please you can't trust her, maybe she's lying and she's basically going to bewitched you," I told him in a cold tone. "Be quiet." "Yes..." Replied in a quiet tone.

The scene is coming and the detail of this will be revealed, I saw the goblins which were the invaders of the village, the soldiers win smoothly as I planned it to be. But someone I saw from this sabotage me, in other to make it look like a failure.

"Damn those commoners!" The count punched the tree. "Those credits belong to me, I'm the one who will have the rewards, I wanted to be promoted for slaying that goblin king, then those commoners interrupted. Damn it!" He punched the tree again.

"I have an idea, what if I made this an incident for them and then I frame them for failing the task?" Suddenly he smiled and said. "That is brilliant, once I do that, I'll be promoted for distinguishing those lowlifes, that's a good idea after all." He smiled and laugh.

After that, the room is silent, Count Warmont was shocked and he standing there and cannot say a thing anymore, the people are gossiping in front of his face and mocked him.

"So, now that I know the truth." I stand up from the throne I sat and grabbed his neck and try to make him not breathing. "You dare, lie in front of my face and said this as if it's for your damn promotion." Said in a threatening tone. "Count Malfas Warmont, I declared that you are now sentenced to death," I said in a cold tone. "Your Majesty, please give me a chance!"

"There is no chance, take him away." As the guards took him and I heard his voice going further away from the throne room. I said to the nobles. "Is there anyone else, dare to defy right in front of me." None of the nobles in this room, dare try to do such a thing in front of me and they should have learned that if they do one final mistake, they are good as dead.

"You there, what is your name?" I asked her this so that I may remember her name in future events.

"My name is Viscountess Endrd Juvirnar, your Majesty." She said her name bluntly. 

She really is kind of professional in this, the investigation to be exact. I wonder if this I get her to be on my side, basically, she is neutral on this.

"We'll speak this, once this is over alright." "Yes, your Majesty." Then she left the room.

After I left the throne room, I went to my workplace, and do the paperwork for the empire itself. Democratic, economic, research, and more for the empire itself.

I heard a knock on the door I said. "Come in." The door opens and she came as I promised. "Your Majesty, I have come from your request." She kneels and bows right in front of me. "So now that you're here, I wanted to ask you something," I spoke in a relaxing tone.

"What is your primary motive?" Took out her dagger and said. "My motive is to assassinate you..." I knew that she would be like the rebels, but still, there's left thing in my sleeves. "This is a threat, right? I wouldn't mind if I get killed by a woman like yourself" I teased her a bit in the serious scenario we're in.

Then blushed, but she snapped out of it and said. "Enough of this flattery tyrant, you have gone so far this time, and this time is your end." She said in a cold tone.

How possibly that this girl hasn't know anything yet, people know that I'm not doing this out of the kindness in my heart, even though they never knew my real self, in fact, I was not the one who did the purge, it was like the memories I received are like a fake.

From what I remember, I still don't know who did this and why did they use me as a public image for this. All I know that in the future that the person there will appear and kill me, but I don't know how to decipher this scene, it felt so mysterious.

"I guess it's time to blunt then. What are your abilities?" "I can see through the counts of lives you have taken, you murdered five hundred thousand civilians, and you're going to pay for what you have done to them." Replied with an angry tone.

"Perhaps, I really murdered them, with my own hands, ordered the guards to execute, slavery and no hope from my people, all because of me." She then, go straight to the neck and I bleed.

"But what if I didn't do it?" "Bullshit, there's no way you can't deceive me with those numbers on your head." Replied and laughed at it as a joke. "Really now, you're really trying to make this hard right?" Said in a disappointed tone and the numbers she sees right there, are fake and there's no way I did that.

"Maybe, at least try to gather the evidence before killing me, since the evidence is, after all, something I would be ready to reveal my action and accept my punishment, what do you say?" She replied with a concerned look on her face.

"Fine, I'll find more evidence of you, once I find them, you're dead." "Alright, got it. I sighed in relief. After that, she left the room, without a goodbye, but that's alright since now I need to know who is the mastermind behind this.

"Whoever you are, I'll reveal your crimes no matter what." This will be a long day.
