Chapter XXXIV

"I think he has learnt his lesson. Haven't you, Uncle? " The word uncle, always sounded silly coming out of her mouth. Reem held in a giggle and tried to keep a straight face.

"I'm sure he has." King Zafar said. "Naeem would be returning today." He added with a smile.

"Really, Papa?" Reem asked with enthusiasm and her father nodded in return. He brother was returning home. She put the last morsel of bread left on her plate into her mouth and sipped some juice.

Queen Zarina watched Reem as she wiped her mouth hurriedly with the napkin. All she did was smile. She exactly what was going on in the little lady's head. "What about desert?" She asked when Reem was already on her feet.

"I'm quite full. Thank you for breakfast." She hurried up to her father's seat and gave him a kiss as she did her stepmother too. Anwar just laughed when she reached where he was sitted. He knew she'd rather smack a frying pan in his face than do that.
