"Mere." a single call of her nickname stopped her. Her father was looking disappointingly at her. The look gave her fear of what she may have done wrong.
"I-I apologize for disappointing his Majesty, the Emperor. But if I m-may be honest, I think choosing me is a mistake, as I h-have no connections in the society, I d-don't do well in politics and economy. I am not smart. Please think twice of your decision, your Majesty." as she bow, she felt a grip on her shoulder.
"Mere, do not look down on yourself. I choose you for a reason and I will not take back the decision that I made." The hand on her shoulder disappeared then she stood straight and look at his father. Her father just shook his head. "Return to your palace, Mevalahandere." and he left.
