Damn ignorant

Abi looked around, her dazed eyes zooming and searching for someone.

"Are you looking for someone?" the CEO asked.

She nodded, her face now worried. "I can't see my friend anywhere. She was just there, in the line, waiting to buy a drink, but she's not there anymore." Her forefinger pointed to where she last saw Kelly.

"Would you like me to accompany you and search for her?" The man asked politely. Abi blinked as her fuzzy mind recalled Kelly's instructions: to stay here and wait for her return.

"Maybe she went to the restroom. It's quite dangerous for girls to go to the restroom alone," the man continued.

"Dangerous?"

"Some drunk men have been known to assault girls there if one is not careful."

Abi's eyes circled in shock and her heart began to beat wildly. She started to worry about her friend. She tried to call Kelly but to her dismay, Kelly's cell phone vibrated in the bag next to her. Abi looked around the bar again and still found no trace of her friend.

The CEO guy stood up and offered his hand to her. "Come. I'll help you look for her."

Hesitating, Abi looked at him, but ultimately, her concern for Kelly won the battle.

"Okay," she said, standing up without accepting the hand he was offering.

"Follow me." He smiled at her and Abi nodded. Her eyes were scanning the faces in the crowd as he led her to the women's restroom.

Abi's worry for her friend had a sobering effect on her, and upon spotting the restroom, she entered without hesitation to check for Kelly.

Inside, the women's restroom was dimly lit, but Abi paid no mind to the lighting as she called out urgently, "Kelly? Are you in here?"

No answer came. Some of the cubicle doors appeared to be shut, but she pushed each one open to ensure. Unfortunately, the bathroom was empty except for her.

She started to feel very anxious.

"Miss Lee, did you find her?" the man outside spoke through the door.

"No… There's no one in here," she answered back as she opened the restroom door to leave.

Suddenly, the man stepped forward, blocking her way out as he entered the restroom. Then he pushed her inside one of the cubicles and locked the door behind him.

"Mister, what are you doing?" Abi's eyes were wide with shock, still unsure of what just happened.

"Miss Lee, you're so damn beautiful…" His voice changed. It now held a hoarse tone, and his eyes shimmered with something scary.

Abi froze in fear as she suddenly realized the situation she was in. Her body started to shake and her palms started sweating.

She couldn't deny feeling a sense of fear when Alexander Quinn pulled her into his bedroom, but at that time, she had been a willing participant. What she was feeling right now was a different kind of fear, the fear where her control and choices were taken away, the fear of being at the mercy of some unknown stranger.

"P-please let me go. I don't want this," she pleaded.

He forcefully pushed her against the wall, causing a small cry to escape her lips.

"Do you think I'll let you go?" he smirked. The calm and polite man had turned into a dangerous predator.

She flinched when she saw him lick his lips, as if he was about to devour something he couldn't wait to taste. He hadn't even touched her yet but she already felt so disgusted. Her body's hairs stood on end as she struggled to push him away, balling her hands into fists and striking his chest, yet her efforts seemed to have no effect. He maintained his grip on her shoulders, showing no intention of releasing her.

She should have heeded Kelly's warning! She had been warned that this place was far from safe for someone like her. Earlier, she had witnessed couples passionately kissing in secluded corners, even witnessing some engaging in intimate actions in public. Yet, the thought of something like this happening never crossed her mind.

What on earth was she thinking? That she could just walk into a place like this and find the much needed experience she was seeking because that's what she wanted? Her head was stuffed full of rainbows and unicorns from all the romance movies and books she read that she did not even think that this type of thing could happen.

She really was so damn ignorant.

Abi had never known such helplessness until now. She was so terrified that her entire body started to tremble violently.

"It's okay, baby… don't be afraid. I promise to make you feel good," the man whispered as his grip on her shoulders tightened.

The moment he moved his face closer to hers, Abi screamed.
