Harbinger of Calamity

a Neet who has worked hard his entire life, who has experienced the vicissitudes of life, living much of his life in poverty, depression and drug addiction, at the end of his difficult road, dies of cancer at the age of 26. Having suffered his entire life trying to face the cruel reality of the world, always chasing higher pursuits and exploring ideas but his pursuit of truth only leads to his own collapse. In his last days instead of weeping, he laughs, he laughs at the absurdity of it all. It seemed as if fate had played the biggest joke on him, he had taken too seriously what had no value. What is life? a blink of an eye! as unreal as a dream, what a mysterious world, we are just born out of nowhere only to vanish later on. A profound sigh was uttered "If only I wasn't dealt such bad cards! I was made for the heights yet here I am crashed in the abyss of life."  Looking at the world he was soon to leave, he sighed "Humanity truly has fallen in this era, it has crashed from the heights of embodying divinity to succumbing to their animalistic selves becoming creatures of decadence, slaves to pleasure, lust and the lowly desires of the body. Truly my heart weeps for the tragedy of humanity, the industrial revolution, a slave society disguised as 'modern society', poisonous foods filled with chemicals, an entire network engineered to enslave minds called the internet, an absolute infestation of decadence and mediocrity in the very Human spirit that used to overpower all. All humanity is enslaved, what can't parents even teach? they are slaves themselves. Atleast in this life, I refused to be a slave, I was a free being, atleast in the later half of my life, I followed my own passions and lived my own life but in the end, sigh I failed! But oh well, who ever lived a perfect life in this world? as the darkness of death engulfs him, he fully accepts it and is gone. A pair of eye opened and an absolutely stunning sight appeared, he was transmigrated. For the first time in so long, he could see clearly without glasses or contacts, he could feel physically powerful instead of a sickly body and a destroyed pleasure system. He resolves that this time, this life, He would pursue his own freedom! He would never give up on himself and he will walk his own path to the very end. "That's right, I was wrong depending on sympathy. Cold, heartless, I won't forgive them, they can't be forgiven! That's right, it wasn't me who was wrong, it was the world that was wrong!" A descent towards Madness. A cruel world where no refuge can be found, countless obstacles obstructing one's path, mountains of corpses, an abyss of blood, a heart of darkness, a cruel fate to all living beings. No heart or soul, only an abyss of despair and a heart to ascend beyond. ... Ava's scheme

"I don't know what you are talking about."

"For how long are you gonna keep pretending?"

"Pretending? pretending what?" the will spoke in confusion.

"Sigh, are we playing games now? As far as I see this body is so instable that it wouldn't even last more than a few years. Have you atleast told him that?

"You?! How did you know?"

"Not only that, his body and mind seem to have been heavily exerted on purpose."

"What are you trying to imply?"

"Why did you guide him to this cave, a powerful will should have been able to use its divine sense to sweep the entire surrounding territory and find the best possible shelters. I'm not even counting all the previous dangerous encounters."

"You?!"

"Would a Guardian, a mighty protector of the Tree of eternal life really not know this giant forest like the back of their hand even with a beast tide? Beast tides have always happened since the dawn of history. A Guardian would be able move smoothly through the entire forest even in the midst of a beast tide."

He smiled before continuing : "The most obvious evidence was that he survived rank 5 beast encounters which are simply impossible at his level. Why make him go through such events only to survive, I can only theorise that you were pushing his body to the limit so that it would reveal the full set of its abilities while you study it and bide your time, investigating, waiting patiently for a way to take over his body."

The will's face darkened.

"His dantian is still rank 1, couldn't you make him gather beast cores and show him how to use them to advance the rank of his dantian, especially since rank 1 dantian are very fragile and can easily break especially if you are encountering rank 5 beasts where just a beast roar is enough to shatter a dantian."

He continued as he smirked mocking the will : "It also seems that some of his memories are also locked while traces of purple dao marked are embedded and hidden in his sea of consciousness. Is this really a good-natured will or a devil hiding behind the mask of a saviour?"

"You dare?! Who do you think you are getting in the way of the Guardians? we could easily end your tribe if you get in the way! This is not a suggestion, this is a threat."

"Oh Heavens! but am I not apart of the divine tree forest that is under the protection of the tree of eternal life?! shouldn't you help us instead." the tribe leader mockingly said.

"Hmph! we, Guardians only protect the Tree of eternal life, we don't give a damn about you."

The tribe leader snapped his finger : "You just admitted it haha! You are just filthy selfish human beings whose sole goal is to pride themselves and hold power with that which they did not create. You are merely exploiters. On what basis, does the Tree of eternal life only belong to human beings? We, minimen used to have its control of it as shown in 'The legends of the girl with the red flower' allowing all beings to bask in it's light, yet humanity had to seize it for themselves."

He continued : "it's funny, isn't it? human beings are the only one whose consciousness can be consumed by the Tree of eternal life yet they are the one who hold on to it the most dearly. It is either the Tree of eternal life's constitution or the immense greed that humanity holds in its heart that makes the Tree act in such a way."

"Hmph, who are you to speak? a mere filthy miniman, know your place. Its simply because this mission is of extreme importance that I am even entertaining you, we will never foresake the Tree of eternal life for anything in this world, let alone such a mysterious existence as this guy, even if there are innocent casualties on the way, better to kill an innocent than spare him and let him return as a threat in the future."

"Sigh, human beings are really devils."

"Hmph, what you call filthiness, we call the Human spirit, we humans are the only species that strives forward and beyond, thats why we dominate this world and you variant humans don't."

She continued : "Hahaha do you think you can stop me?"

"Oh, so it seems you can send mental transmissions back to your main body, interesting, isn't it?

You were doing it the whole time but it probably takes a whole day to get a message back, thus you kept extending the time it took to reach each destination while also using beasts to derail him from the correct path."

"Hmph! I don't know where you got that informatio- wait was it back then where he shook your hands! I remember sensing mental fluctuations coming from his sea of consciousness but thats impossible! He himself didn't know this!"

"True, he simply told me to take care of you, the rest I just deduced from the clues you both left behind."

"Haha what a joke, a food path miniman thinks he can deduce, I haven't heard such a good joke in a long time."

"Don't you think its unbecoming that with your status of a guardian, you still act so shamelessly?"

The will rolled her eyes : "And? I don't care how you got all this information but its too late!"

Immediately upon speaking, a purple light emerged from the will's body and rushed outside moving at high speed, it took merely two seconds for it to leave the long cave.

The tribe leader smiled upon seeing this before he continued : "But what bad luck, you stumbled on your worst enemy."

"Hmph, what can you even do? you, a mere food path cultivator thinks he can stop me?"

"Food path? I think you might have misunderstood, food path is merely a hobby of mine."

The tribe leader put his hand in his forehead before he slowly pulled it back.

A supreme aura immediately permeated the entire cave even rushing outside the cave filling the surrounding forest with its aura.

A Rank 6 immortal Anima!

"You?!"

The Anima shone with purpleish light, it looked a purple giant ball which at its core had a snail figure.

"What Food path? I cultivate Wisdom path!"

The will was startled immediately leaving Nameless's sea of consciousness and rushing outside the cave!

Immortal killer move - Mental Domain.

Immediately a giant dome of purple light spread from the purple egg as its core, it expanded rapidly encircling the cave before it expanded rapidly encircling the surrounding area!

The purple will only turned to see the purple light was approaching, the mental transmission had already been destroyed the moment it came in contact with the purple light.

'An immortal killer move?! Not only does he have an immortal anima but he also already created an immortal killer move, I must escape!'

Immortal killer moves were extremely difficult to create, any mistake in the process meant a backlash and a threat to one's life, using the rank 6 anima with other mortal animas and combining their power was as hard as reaching the heavens.

The purple will picked even more speed but the purple dome was even faster, it only took a few minutes before she was enveloped by the purple light and enclosed within it.

The purple will's heart sank but she still turned towards the tribe leader :

"Hmph! you think just by imprisoning me, you have won? hehe sorry to let you know but the moment my messages don't reach my main body, she will come to take revenge and pursue the clues I left behind in my path."

"Ahh what a bummer but don't worry, you will be sending those messages yourself."

"Sending them myself for you?! Hahaha what a good joke."

"Laugh while you can." the tribe reader spoke before he put his hand together as he made a sign with his hands.

"Do you know why you lost?"

"Haha, tell me then why did I lose?" the will said mockingly.

"It was because you understimated the foundation of my minimen race."

As soon as he spoke these words, a blue ball started coming out from his dantian.

Immediately, a supreme aura filled the air and permeated every part of the forest.

"Another rank 6 immortal Anima?!"

A blue ball which had a snail figure at its core came from his dantian and rose in the air staying right under the purple ball.

Immortal killer move - Will reconstruction.

Immediately, blue ethereal chains rose from the ground and the top of dome rushing towards the will.

The will attempted to escape but it was caught and bound from both legs and arms.

The will no longer attempted to resist, immediately deciding to self-destruct!

It failed!

"What?! how?!"

"Little girl, you are way too young to be playing these games with me, the moment you were bound by the domain, you could no longer self-destruct." The tribe leader said as began to soar in the air.

"You can even fly?! what are you?"

"Me? I'm just a miniman."

As he spoke the blue chains vibrated before blue dao runes surfaced on the will's ethereal body before it entered its mind.

'Changing its beliefs and memories without destroying it nor damaging it, this might be slightly tricky.'

The process took an entire hour before both the chains and the purple domain begin to vanish as both rank 6 animas respectively returned to his sea of consciousness and dantian.

The tribe leader breathed fresh air, he had sweat on his forehead, it was extremely difficult to change the will of a Guardian.

The will took a few minutes to wake up before it bowed down to the miniman.

"Did it work?"

Outside the cave, Nameless leaned on the entrance of the cave as he smiled.
