Shadow lords

Both Carson and Vannox stood in their positions; nobody moved.

"The quicker I win this, the faster I can get Zenkai out." Vannox thought.

Vannox took the first step, and Carson also started to move up.

They continued to move slowly, picking up their speed until they both started running.

Carson moved his fist up, ready to strike, not noticing Vannox sliding under his feet.

Vannox touched Carson's leg and made him fall over.

"Darkness transmutation."

A shadow appeared out of the ground and latched onto Carson, and forced itself onto its body.

"You are now under my control," Vannox said as he reached down for his staff.

The black body started shaking, and the shadow went off. Carson then disappeared.

"Looking for a cheap way out, huh."

Before Vannox could reply, Carson swept his feet and then kicked Vannox into the distance while he was in the air.

Carson picked up his weapon and ran toward Vannox.

Vannox got back up and raised his staff to stop the attack.

Senzu looked toward where the sound was coming from.

"Must be Carson fighting." Senzu returned, "well if Carson is fighting, I can't hold back. It'll make me look bad if I lose."

Vannox kicked Carson back and jumped in the air.

He spun, moving his legs to Carson's face but missed and slightly grazed his nose.

Vannox fell to the ground but shortly flipped back over.

Carson punched Vannox in the gut, causing a shockwave coming from behind.

He grabbed his face and forced his knee into it.

Vannox flipped his arms and head-butted Carson.

A shadow appears on the floor, and Vannox goes through it.

He jumps out of the shadow, appearing behind.

"You're stronger than I assumed," Carson spoke.

Vannox lifted his hand, and his staff flew back into his hand.

Carson stared at Vannox, then laughed. "Do you know how much I hate you?."

Vannox smirked, "is it because your shadows are a ripoff version of mine?"

Carson laughed once more.

"If only you knew the true extent of this power."

Vannox core lit up but then went dark one of his eyes turned red, and he shoved his staff into the ground.

"I don't usually use my core, but I don't have a choice."

"Shadow demon's core: great demons hail."

Dozens of demons appeared out of the ground and formed a massive circle around Vannox and Carson.

They each lifted their handle, clearing the sky above them, and giant versions of Vannox staff appeared out of it.

Each staff landed near a demon, and they touched it while they enchanted some words.

"Zeg epg begd oep irmbb wlgnir," they all said in unison.

The area inside the staff barrier became shadowlike, and spirits appeared out of the walls.

"Zeg epg begd? n ma hrl begd ez irmdei" Carson said.

Vannox other eye turned red, and his voice deepened.

"M algl begd ez irmdei nij'h hepsrnjv hrl ved ez dlaeji" Vannox replied.

"The demon tongue? So you know if it." Carson said surprisingly.

As he spoke, a spirit of chaos rushed past Carson and caused a scratch on his face.

Vannox rushed toward Carson with his hand out

Carson, pissed, slapped Vannox's hand and caught his head, and flipped him over.

"Do you take me as a fool?" You've been toying around as if I can't kill you."

Vannox pointed up to the spirit of death approaching them.

Carson quickly reacted and cut down the spirit.

His insides started to glow, but his core turning pitch black.

"Shadow demon's core: true corruption"

Carson touched the floor, making thousands of arms appear from the ground.

The arms ended up extending and grabbing every spirit that Vannox had created in his barrier.

Carson then rushed toward Vannox, letting out many attacks none had fallen, but Vannox couldn't keep up with this Carson.

Carson continued to let out a barrage of attacks on Vannox as he yelled at the top of his lungs.

"I hate you. There's not a single thing I like about you, Vannox. Your birth was annoying and has caused many hardships for me, and the fact you walk around freely pisses me off!"

Vannox grabbed onto one of Carson's arms and kicked him backward. He flipped over slightly, touching the ground, creating more shadow soldiers.

The soldiers appeared out of the ground and rushed toward Carson.

Vannox landed on his feet and kneeled, trying to catch his breath.

Carson destroyed the shadows and continued to walk toward Vannox again. His anger let his aura leak from his core, eradicating the floor beneath him.

"You disgrace those shadows. Let give tutor you real quick." Carson said as he continued to walk, anger only showing his one red eye.

Vannox got back up and rushed more shadows as Carson, creating more space for himself.

His core lit up, and before it turned black, Carson was already on his way toward him, preparing to attack.

Vannox smiled.

"I see, so that's what it is."
