Once Wang Shuaiyue had heard of Zhu Bolin's advancement towards his territory, he commanded his well-honed troops with alacrity to defend the city walls. As soon as he was presented with reports of Su Hu's annoyance at the head of their foe Zhu Bolin - due to the man's obstinate beliefs - Wang Shuaiyue led his battalion of robust, 10,000-strong soldiers to the coast of the East Sea Ramped Ocean.
The thunder of cannons boomed in the air, and Wang Shuaiyue strode before Zhu Bolin, fearlessly stating his case. His defiance only served to anger Zhu Bolin, who then commanded General Shao Qiu to unleash his might upon the former. But, Wang Shuaiyue stood unflinching before the fierce war General, calmly and confidently continuing to expound upon his point of view.
Wang Shuaiyue, however, was brimming with confidence. He shouted at the enemies in emphatic words. Although the latter had a great numerical superiority over his small army, his ten thousand valiant warriors had far greater experience in battle. As the enemy army advanced rapidly, Wang Shuaiyue hopped onto his horse holding a spear in hand and galvanized his small army to protect their territory at all costs.
Though strife hung in the air, Wang Shuaiyue persevered and remained steadfast in his articulation. His bravery and insistence reverberated among the discord of battle, with every syllable carrying the weight of his conviction.
The commander of Zhu Bolin's army was astounded at the courage of the defenders and soon the forces clashed in a fierce battle. Swords clashed and cannons growled in the night sky as the two forces fought fiercely. At last, Wang Shuaiyue's side emerged victorious and Zhu Bolin was forced to concede, begrudgingly.
Wang Shuaiyue was certain that Zhu Bolin would attack again so his son, Wang Jianhong prepared to lead the army.
Wang Shuaiyue said, ''Jianhong, are you ready? Zhu Bolin's army will be here soon and I want you to lead our men bravely into battle''.
Wang Jianhong nodded his head, assuring his father "Father, you know I will do my best! But we could use some extra help. We're a small group, and Zhu Bolin's army is large''.
Wang Shuaiyue and his son wearily made their way onto the battlefield, looking towards the horizon for any sign of Zhu Bolin and his army marching towards them.
Anxiety rose in Wang Shuaiyue's heart at the thought of the battle that was ahead of them, as he took in the sparse resources of man and material they had at their disposal.
Suddenly, an unexpected figure appeared before them, astride a sleek black steed, with a confident, determined expression on his face. Drawing closer, Wang Shuaiyue could make out the tell-tale scars of a warrior and instantly guessed the stranger's identity. ''Master Jiang Xicheng!?!" Wang Shuaiyue exclaimed, awe and gratitude colouring his voice.
Jiang Xicheng took off the long gown and stared straight into Wang Shuaiyue's eyes. ''On my way to the east, I heard someone is going to get beaten badly''.
Wang Shuaiyue breathed in and out as he thought, ''Surely this blunt young man is famous for his bitter tongue''.
"We'd heard of the news of your travels in the north, but we never expected you'd come to our aid!" Wang Jianhong spoke.
Jiang Xicheng inclined his head in acknowledgement. "I know of Zhu Bolin's treacherous intentions, and have come to offer my assistance to you in your time of need," he declared. ''You can rest assured that with my help, Zhu Bolin will not escape this battle victorious''.
''Send your son back''. Jiang Xicheng commanded.
Wang Jianhong and Wang Shuaiyue exchanged bewildered glances. ''But my son is a mastered battalion''.
''This time Zhu Bolin's aim is your family, not your territory''. Jiang Xicheng stated.
Wang Shuaiyue's heart trembled as he recognised the man before him to be none other than the Duke of North District's son—Jiang Xicheng.
Having known his father since childhood, Wang Shuaiyue was instantly reminded of all the fond memories he had with the young Duke, memories of carefree days and jovial laughter.
He bowed before Jiang Xicheng, addressing him as Liwei without a surname as was requested, and promised to keep his identity a secret. Even in this dire situation, Wang Shuaiyue could sense the bond between the two, the special friendship that stoked the fires of loyalty and mutual trust. He vowed to be trusted with this perilous task no matter what happened.
That very evening, under the command of Wang Shuaiyue and Jiang Xicheng, the island of the East Sea Ramped Ocean forces hauled out of camp in the dead of night and march silently towards Zhu Bolin's stockades. Entering the battle, Jiang Xicheng led the charge into the heart of the enemy lines, his glaive drawn.
He charged forth with a bellowing battle cry, inspiring fear in all those who dared to cross his path, and struck fear into the hearts of the enemy forces, as the sound of battle echoed through the darkness.
Despite the archers firing volleys and having the advantage of fortified walls, they were unable to completely hold against the fierce island of the East Sea Ramped Ocean forces and eventually, the enemies started to retreat in fear of the mysterious man who was no one other but Jiang Xicehng in black gown's swift and unrelenting assault.
The island of the East Sea Ramped Ocean forces successfully breached the stockades and captured one of Zhu Bolin's prized banners, displaying it proudly as a token of victory.
At the sight of their banner being taken away, the enemy forces finally ceded and abandoned the field of battle, which destroyed their stronghold.
Amid the chaos, Jiang Xicheng took hold of two horses and quickly made his escape from the approaching enemy forces. After retreating a few miles, the island of the East Sea Ramped Ocean forces quickly regrouped and then made their way back to their camp.
The battle was noted as a complete success due to the combined show of strength and courage exhibited by Wang Shuaiyue and Jiang Xicheng. With the successful capturing of the flag, the island of the East Sea Ramped Ocean forces was able to acquire aid from the small clans around and to further display their military power and prowess.
This resulted in a complete turnover of fortunes for the island of the East Sea Ramped Ocean forces, as they gained potential assistance from other powers, and had brought horrific injury upon the already weakened forces of Zhu Bolin.
