Rong Qi and Rong Zhou lived in a residential complex. After the divorce, AWE helped them afford a new place to live. It wasn't exactly a large apartment, but it was ample enough to accommodate a mother and child.
Avina looked over at her watch before knocking on the door. She placed on her biggest smile and waited. One minute, two minutes, three minutes.
'Is Rong Qi at home?' Finally, Avina could only ask 5025 to check for her. Rong Qi knew today was their routine check, and usually, she would never be late, never mind miss it entirely.
5025 scanned the apartment but couldn't find Rong Qi or Rong Zhou. It could only shake its head.
Avina quickly got out her phone and called Rong Qi, but she didn't pick up. Her expression turned grave before she started calling for their other members. She reported on the situation and called the other members to keep out an eye for them.
