Chapter-1 : The Beginning

Loud music played in my head as I killed a bunch of space demons with my shotgun, In the game of course. The game is oddly similar to doom but instead of a angry marine, The character I was playing as is a hot chick with really...'torn up' clothes and with blood dripping down her body which made her body..... let's just leave it at that.

[Seriously, out of all the thing you could've ask me to do, you asked me to play this stupid music in your head..... what's even that point]

A voice spoked inside my head and I continued smashing my poor controller.

"It gives me motivation and power. You wouldn't understand." I replied as I watch my character crouch down in a very..... revealing way.

[sigh...Your trial is going to start in 30 minutes. Are you not nervous?]

My system is a little bit weird. Unlike in your normal system type novel, It didn't give starter packs or starter power. Hell it don't even get to choose my powers. The system instead gives me different skills. And I have to go through those trials to obtain them. The skills are divided into 4 ranks, normal, rare, unique and legendary. These ranks are self-explanatory so I won't be getting into it.

"Why should I get nervous? I'm actually pretty excited. And uh how do you get those skill again?" I asked again without shifting my gaze away from the game.

[...One last time, I swear], the system cursed in my head,

You do not get these skills, you earn them through actions in the trial. There are multiple skills you can earn my doing specific actions or things. There is a chance that you don't get any skills at all. For example if you just dig and hole and hide until the time ran out you'll get nothing. And I warn you again, these skills are crucial for your survival during your 'adventure' ].

I nodded slowly as I watch the large 'Floor Cleared' displayed on the screen.

I got up and chug down the remaining drink from my can. "Alrighty, I'm ready for the trial." I smiled as I felt mentally prepared...I guess.

[The trial will start in 16 minutes, you'll have to wait for a while.]

I shrugged and looked out of the window. Now you might think, how did I end up in this situation. Well it's a long story but I'll make it short. My name is Kimura Hiroto, I was a 21 year old dude from earth. Yup, the very earth you live in. I was your very typical gamer/streamer. Though I wasn't very successful but I tried. I've played many games and watched anime and movies. I did some freelance and editing work. Life is great! I played games, eat chicken nuggets and chips, masterbate and sleep. But one day when I was playing league of legends and got so mad I punched the monitor a bit too hard. And the next thing I knew, I was here! In a coffin, 4 feet beneath the earth. I panicked, then I got my system. Then I managed to dug myself out with a little help from the system. According to the memory of this body, My family is very rich, like Elon musk rich. Though it's weird the original owner of this body doesn't even know what kind of business our family run. And now my last name is Shichiya. Well not that I care about it, to them I was dead. I was able to sell some of the jewellery I was buried with and got quite a sum of money. So here I am living in an apartment I rented and waiting for the system to load up my first trial.

Well that summarize it I guess. This world is a lot like earth except the world is unified under a single government. There were no continent, only huge cities. The city I lived in is called J-city. There are 26 major city all named after an alphabet.

One thing stands out a lot. The entertainment in this world sucks. Most of the games are trash compared to the old earth. Most games are just dull and the story just plain boring. And the gameplay are all the same. The game I was playing a while ago was called "Boom slayer". Sounds very familiar but the despite the balls and meat filling half of my screen, the gameplay was acceptable and it actually have a difficulty choice.

"How long until I can start the trial?"

[Approximately 3 minutes and 17 seconds]

Okay, I guess that should do with the explanation. I should be ready for the trial.

[Are you actually talking to someone or you're just doing this to relieve your pressure?]

The system is really confused since I always start an conversation in my head with no one apparently.

"Back in my old world, I don't have many friends. So I always narrate my own life like there's actually someone listening to me." I merely smiled and explained, "It helps me build confidence and make me feel like I'm the main character of my story. It's like everything that has happened to me is just a part of my amazing adventure."

[ Well I guess it's okey then. Trail starts in 1 minute by the way, so get ready to be teleported.]

All of this is really happening. Like in a weird fan-fic, I've been reincarnated and got my own system. I'll become stupidly op and will probably end up with a harem. I feel like my eyes are glowing, filled with excitement.

[No, that's just a effect you feel before teleportation.]

Like I care, I clutch my fist and felt by heartbeat.

"And thus, this is the beginning of my amazing adven...."

Before I can finish my words, I disappeared into a blue hole which appeared beneath me.
