Chapter 1Chapter 10: Unspoken Trust

Ethan awoke the next morning to the soft light of dawn filtering through the heavy velvet curtains of his bedroom. The events of the gala lingered in his mind, each detail carefully analyzed. Amara's performance, her grace, and the subtle cracks forming in Cecilia's facade had all been small victories, but victories nonetheless.

As he sat up, a familiar chime resonated in his mind, and the Villainess Wife Pampering System materialized with its usual glowing text.

Event Completed: First Public Appearance with Amara

Amara's Confidence +10

Nobility's Perception of Amara Improved

Rewards Earned: 500 Pampering Points, New Skill Unlocked – Gentle Persuasion

Ethan raised an eyebrow as he read the description of the skill. It was a passive ability that subtly influenced others during conversations, making them more receptive to his words.

"Useful," he murmured, though his attention quickly shifted to the adjoining room.

The system chimed again.

Amara's Emotional Update: Gratitude

Current Mood: Nervous but Grateful

Reward: 100 Pampering Points

"Grateful?" Ethan muttered, standing up. "Let's see how long that lasts."

He dressed swiftly, opting for a crisp white shirt and tailored black trousers, and made his way to the dining room. As he descended the grand staircase, the sound of footsteps echoed faintly behind him. Turning, he saw Amara, her hair loosely braided and her demeanor softer than usual. She wore a simple morning gown, far less ornate than her gala attire, yet somehow just as captivating.

Amara's Emotional Update: Embarrassed

Current Mood: Slightly Shy

Reward: 50 Pampering Points

"Good morning," Ethan said, his tone lighter than usual.

"Good morning," Amara replied, her voice quieter than normal. Her gaze lingered on him for a moment before she turned away, hiding a faint blush.

After breakfast, Ethan retreated to his study, intent on reviewing the reports that had piled up. As he sifted through them, the system interrupted again.

Daily Task Unlocked: Engage in a Meaningful Conversation with Amara

Reward: 200 Pampering Points

"Well, I suppose that aligns with her new proposal," Ethan muttered, recalling her words from breakfast.

He didn't have to wait long for the opportunity. A knock on his door drew his attention, and he called out, "Enter."

To his surprise, it was Amara. She stepped inside, her expression hesitant but determined.

"Amara?" Ethan asked, standing.

She closed the door behind her, glancing at the stacks of papers on his desk. "I wanted to...thank you. For last night. I know you didn't have to defend me or guide me through it, but you did. And I appreciate it."

Ethan blinked, momentarily caught off guard by her sincerity. "You don't need to thank me," he said after a pause. "We're in this together, whether we like it or not."

Amara nodded, but she didn't leave. Instead, she approached the desk, her hands clasped in front of her. "I've been thinking. If we're to make this...arrangement work, maybe we should try to understand each other better."

Ethan tilted his head, intrigued. "Understand each other?"

"Yes. We're partners now, aren't we? Even if it's just in name. I think it would be...beneficial to learn how to navigate that together."

The system chimed again.

Task Progress: Deepening Bond with Amara

Trust +5

Reward Unlocked: 100 Pampering Points

Ethan suppressed a smirk as he replied. "You're right. We'll start with the small things. Dinner together, discussions like this. And when we're ready, we'll face the bigger challenges."

Amara smiled faintly. "I'd like that."

That evening, Ethan found himself standing outside Amara's door, hesitating for the first time in years. He raised his hand to knock, but the door opened before he could. Amara stood there, looking slightly startled but not displeased.

"Ethan?" she asked, her tone uncertain.

"I wanted to check on you," he said simply.

She stepped aside, allowing him in. The room was cozy, with a faint scent of lavender lingering in the air. A single lamp cast a warm glow, softening the edges of the space.

Amara gestured toward a small seating area near the window. "Would you like to sit?"

He nodded, and they settled into the chairs, the silence between them surprisingly comfortable.

The system chimed quietly.

Amara's Emotional Update: Relaxed

Current Mood: Comfortable

Reward: 50 Pampering Points

"I was thinking about what you said earlier," Ethan began. "About understanding each other. I think it's a good idea, but I also think it'll take time."

Amara nodded, her expression thoughtful. "Time is something we have, isn't it?"

"Yes," he replied. "And for now, we take it one step at a time."

Their conversation meandered through light topics—books, travels, memories from their childhoods. Though their lives had been vastly different, they found small commonalities that made the conversation flow easier than either of them expected.

As the night wore on, Amara stifled a yawn, her eyelids drooping. Ethan stood, sensing it was time to leave.

Bonus Reward: New Skill Unlocked – Empathetic Insight

"Goodnight, Amara," Ethan said softly.

"Goodnight, Ethan," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

As Ethan returned to his room, he opened the system's interface, scrolling through the rewards. His gaze lingered on the description of Empathetic Insight, a skill that allowed him to sense deeper emotions in Amara and others.

"Well," he murmured, a faint smile playing on his lips. "This might come in handy."

For now, he allowed himself a moment of peace. He had made progress with Amara, and with the system's rewards in tow, he was ready for the battles ahead.

Level 1 to Infinity: My Bloodline Is the Ultimate Cheat!

They shattered his life. Now, he’ll break the world. Ethan had it all, until his best friend and the woman he loved betrayed him, leaving him crippled and forgotten. Three years of suffering later, he clawed his way to one final, desperate act… and the universe answered. A hidden quest. A second chance. A return to the moment everything began. Now, Ethan is back, on the eve of Ethereal’s launch, the world’s first fully immersive VR game and the battlefield where legends are forged. Last time, he played fair. This time? He’s armed with years of knowledge: every exploit, every secret quest, every broken mechanic that will let him climb straight to the top. But when he logs in, something is off. The system forces him into an unwanted class—Druid, the game’s biggest joke. The kind of class people pick as a dare and regret immediately. Yet as Ethan digs deeper, the truth shakes him. [Congratulations! You have unlocked the Divine Bloodline: King of Elves!] Ethan stared at the screen, unblinking. “…The hell?” The Druid class was a jack-of-all-trades, master of none—a scattered mess of abilities that mimicked other classes but never truly excelled. Their bear form lacked the raw defense of a proper tank. Their panther form was weaker than a rogue. Their healing fell short of a priest, and their magic couldn’t compare to a mage’s devastating spells. Most players abandoned the class early, realizing they could never compete at the highest level. And yet, Ethan’s stats are off the charts. His talents are absurd. His potential is beyond anything he’s ever seen. The system has given him something no other Druid ever had—a divine bloodline, legendary abilities, and a growth rate that defies logic. If Druids were meant to be weak, then Ethan was the exception that would rewrite history. He’s not just here to reclaim his throne. He’s here to take everything. Factions will rise. Empires will fall. The strongest will thrive, and the weak will perish. And the ones who betrayed him? They won’t live to do it again.

Primordial Villain with a Slave Harem

Quinlan, a simple office worker finds himself transmigrated to an extremely dangerous fantasy land as a level 1 Commoner with nothing to his name but his wits - and a unique gift that accompanied his teleportation. No one in Thalorind could have predicted that this unassuming arrival would one day rise to the top, redefining the very meaning of the term 'power'... And that he may have achieved said result by joining a criminal organization and clawing his way through its ranks. In the beginning, Quinlan was painfully weak and alone but thanks to his severe trust issues, joining a team was... hard. However, he soon noticed that a lot of people have collars around their necks in this world... People that couldn't exactly betray him. Follow Quinlan's journey as he grows in strength, amasses wealth, fights to the death, and meets lovely ladies. ... Discord: https://discord.gg/bjunEkswQ3 ... After writing over 750 chapters, here’s what you should know: 1. About the beginning: The early chapters are a bit rough. I'm not saying that it's horrible, in fact, I believe the story to be very enjoyable right from chapter 1. But, at the end of the day, this is my first original novel, and I stumbled in some areas, especially with the MC's attitude. He's too reserved and occasionally too "simpy" with the first female lead. However, the MC grows into a confident, powerful, and composed figure. No long-term cringe. He becomes the kind of MC you want to root for. 2. Quinlan’s morality: He’s not a cruel, sadistic villain. Most of the time, he won't even be acting like a real villain, only when pushed to the limit. Meaning he won't torture puppies or civilians for fun while cackling manically. However, he’s greedy, shameless, and opportunistic. If the lives of his loved ones are at stake and he can only save them by burning a city with innocents inside down, he’ll do it. He's ruthless toward strangers when necessary, but doesn't delight in cruelty. 3. Regarding slaves: Yes, Quinlan becomes a slave master. However, he treats all his women—free or enslaved—with care and respect. 4. More than smut: Every love interest has a real story, a real presence. No girl will be left behind. As of Chapter 750, Quinlan has 7 lovers and a few more "in-development" love interests. This is not a "catch them all" story, adding one girl every 20 chapters. I prefer harems made up of girls with richly developed characters over giant harems full of shallow ladies. Quality over Quantity. 5. Balanced storytelling: My aim was to create a work where romance, action, and slice-of-life blend together naturally. There’s high-stakes action, power progression, romantic developments, comedy, and some chill downtime to let both the characters and the readers breathe. 6. Weak-to-Strong Progression: Quinlan will become OP. But he rises slowly, not overnight. His journey will hopefully feel earned. 7. Not every female character listed in the fandom is a love interest: Some women are important to the plot but are not part of the harem or a planned to be, such as his two mothers. 8. No Yuri. No NTR. That's it, thank you for taking your chance on my novel! I'll make a promise to you, showing how much I believe you'll love the novel if you get over the somewhat bumpy beginning! If you read 750 chapters and hate the story even after investing so much time into it, then you may burn me alive!

Reincarnated To Evolve My Bee Empire

"Now, go forth, my mortal champion! Conquer this world—or else!" I lived a painfully average life and died by a stupid, stupid accident, but a goddess interfered, giving me a second chance in another world. There, I became royalty—the lazy kind with almost no obligations, free to live in peace and luxury for the rest of my days. Sounds like a dream, right? In reality, it was anything but—because I became *BEE* royalty. A Drone Bee, doomed to die of old age in 2 months! (A humanoid bee, thankfully, but still a bee in all the ways that matter.) The only way to increase my lifespan is to develop and grow my bee colony—a deadly task in a vicious world like this one. There are murderous insect monsters, colossal beasts trampling the earth, other civilizations, natural disasters, and the bitchy patron goddess who absolutely hates me. But as long as I have my brains, my bees, and the powerful genes my system gives me, my Bee Empire will be unstoppable! === For those who want to know more: This is a wholesome comedic story, but it has some dark moments. The focus is on kingdom building, survival as an empire, and interacting with MC’s beautiful bee wife and adorable bee daughters. The bees are all humanoid (see pictures) and human-sized. However, they are still bees in their ways of life and mentality. Although there’s a system, real growth comes from putting effort and time. Nothing happens in an instant in this story, unless it’s trouble. MC acts like an idiot sometimes (oftentimes), but he’s not actually stupid-stupid. When it comes to strategic decisions, he uses logic and reason. Even if you might disagree with it. Also, there will be no smut (ecchi is a fair game), incest, NTR, harem or BL. === Discord is up! Find it at -> https://linktr.ee/Garessta Updates: 2 chapters/day, right after the reset (with a 5% chance of running late). Reply to author's pinned review if you have questions. Also, although I realize the futility of this aim (at least right now), if this novel reaches top 15 golden ticket ranking (and stays there for a few days, obv), I will mass release 10 extra chapters! (within 30 calendar days)
