Ch 10-Welcome To Mondstat

A/N: sorry I haven't uploaded, the family and me whent on a fishing trip and my brother fainted to heatstroke and whent face first to the floor. it was fucking 116° degrees outside so no wonder. we had to take him to the ambulance and had him get checked out all but luckily he is fine and alive so il start uploading again yay!.

well it's been a few hours since I've been on the road towards Mondstat and I have to say that I'm getting quite annoyed already. In the few hours that I've been walking I have already been ambushed by bandits 3 times(I crushed them all of course), are the knights of favoniuous this useless.

hmm well, I guess I can't really expect much since I'm guessing that Varka took all the good knights with him and left Jean with the lazy ones. sigh~ at least I hope that the red bunny is doing a better job than the others.

"Stop right there stranger"

well il be damned the bunny came straight to me. looking up I could see her gliding down to me from God knows where. as she finally came down from the sky I hear her say

"you don't look like a resident of Mondstat. Hmm explain yourself !"

"oi don't treat me like a criminal. I am an ever law-abiding traveler." I said with a puffed-up chest and a prideful smile

"hmm really? Because that's definitely something a non-law-abiding traveler would say". she said with eyes full of suspicion.

"Hey! That is just unwarranted defamation. are all knights of favoniuous this rude" I said with a serious tone but on the inside, I was just enjoying teasing the girl.

"W-what of course not. I-I am a knight of felonious I could not do such a thing I am only doing proper caution procedure as Mondstats outrider " she said with a equally offended voice.

"hahaha, sorry bunny I was just teasing you," I said as I pat her head lightly. honestly, the game didn't do her beauty justice. beautifully long brown hair, flawless skin, crystal clear hazel eyes, creamy thick tig- *cough*. Anyways I dare say that so far I haven't seen one ugly woman in this world.

maybe it's because junk food doesn't exist here and pollution isn't as bad as It was back home. or perhaps it's just anime logic in play but I'm not complaining.

"W-what are you doing you should pat the head of strangers! and don't tease me or il bite you!" Amber said as she started to get red and threatened me. but honestly, I just saw it as her being shy.

"hehe my bad," I said as I removed my hand from her head.

"hemp!" Amber pouted as she was being teased. She felt quite mad that a random stranger is doing this to her. ...although she doesn't hate it she will never admit it to him.

"Anyways nice to meet you the name is Meliodas," Meliodas said as he introduced himself.

"hmp!!" Amber looked away pouting as she was still mad at him

"Alright alright I already apologized didn't I plus I would appreciate it if you could take me to Mondstat since I'm a tad bit lost here," Meliodas said to her. although he could find the way himself, he still wanted to interact with Amber more.

"Alright, my name is Amber and I am an outrider of the knights of favoniuous!" Amber introduced herself with gusto and a tad bit of pride.

After introducing themselves Amber guided Meliodas back to Mondstat City as she talked about many of the specialties and unique things that the country had to offer. and of course, Meliodas laughed inside as he could tell that she was just excited to show off the country she loved so much.

they both finally reached the city of Mondstat. and Meliodas has to say that he was impressed and awed. from the building to the whole theme of the city. it felt quite... free if he could describe it in any way.

After taking In the sight Amber said that she needed to leave back into the outlands since she was still on patrol so Meliodas just nodded before giving her a teasing head pat before she left.

Dam the city is big. in the game, it might not show it to be much but in reality, it's huge. I'm surprised that all of this fits in the island that it is built upon... how big even is the island. Anyways now that I am here I might as well explore and use some of the money I haven't used in 4 years.

beautiful brick buildings that give's a fantasy world vibe (Even though it is) along with the greenery growing everywhere. truly a beautiful place, but that's not what I'm here for hehehe, there's something I've wanted to do when coming to Mondstat, and it's the food.

even if I did bother learning how to cook until this life. in my past life, food was one of the only things that kept me from jumping off a cliff mostly because of my AP classes that I took in high school so I'm curious how good the food tastes here.

(A/N: for those who don't know AP and IB classes are kind of like college classes that you can take in high school. just thinking about them gives me high blood pressure.)

As I kept walking through the main street of the city (more like a town but in medieval terms, it would be considered a city) I was looking for a restaurant that appeared in the game what was it called... ah yes! it was good hunters. anyways I've been looking for it for a while but I can't seem to find it around her hmm maybe if I asked someone.

asking one of the passer-byes I found out that good hunters were only a few streets ahead. finally arriving there. I could see that although the place was small and modest, the place was still packet with people despite its size. After a while he managed to get a fisherman toast and some chicken mushroom skewers to eat.

As I was a kit to take a bite out of the Fisherman Toast the wind picked up sending it flying to my face

*woosh* wind sfx*

*splat*

"Grrr, Daaaammmiiit" as I felt the food on my face I couldn't help but curse out loud making the other look at me weirdly but suddenly they started to run away?

huh that's weird why are they running I don't think the harsh wind is worth going home is it.

As I said those words all I could hear was a ear deafening roar making my head turn around not in fear but that this fuckin dragon dared to come out now when I was about to eat.

As I was thinking about how pissed off I was Storm terror sensed my ill feelings towards him and roared again and sent a blast of wind towards me.

"Tch, fucking dragon out of all times it is when I'm about to eat!" as I felt my anger well up I unsheathed [Lost Layne] from behind me as I yelled out

[Full Counter!!]

Sending back the wind blast towards his face with twice the impact making the dragon roar in pain. as it stabilized it self it looked at me in anger and flew down to me looking at me with pure rage.

As I looked at the dragon I could tell that it was strong. stronger than anything I've fought in these four years. and all I have fought were a bunch of Hirchulls and bandits but never a dragon so I felt quite scared but exited at the same time.

As we kept our little stare down I knew that this was only the beginning of our little exchange until I heard something that game me a little push
