Chapter 11- Simulation Activating

As Arc was having meat from 5 sparrow monsters, he felt that he could not eat anymore, but his taste was so good that he could not stop himself.

His body was experiencing a warm feeling that he could not describe to others but it was there like he was the only one living the most comfortable life.

If he does not have much self-control he might even moan in pleasure. But as he moved his hand, he found that all monster sparrow meat was finished and only some bones-like parts were left.

Now as he had concentrated on the feeling, and status screen, he saw the notifications that appeared when he was busy eating.

He saw that his total Mortal Gene points have been raised to 37/ 100.

As he was so absorbed in himself, something like a shadow struck him on his neck.

'Clang'

A metal clanging sound appeared indicating whatever that shadow was could not breach the defence of his system, but Arc still felt the impact on his neck which made his head shake.

His head felt dizzy, while pain coursed through his neck.

He summoned the dagger monster's soul quickly while warily looking to his side to find what kind of monster attacked him.

Surrounding bushes were rustling like something was running inside but the speed of the monster could not analyzed by him, all he could see was a blurred shadow image.

Then it again appeared from the side, an instinctive reaction appeared in Arc's body and he wanted to move backward but he knew that armour could support him and he had to take this chance to attack.

He moved the dagger in the direction of shadow was coming from, this was all actions he could do at this time. Shadow did not move in other directions and kept charging.

The next moment, the dagger shattered into pieces before it disappeared in the light particles.

Arc felt a connection lost.

He could not understand what monster could be so fast and proficient in attack because there should not be such a monster.

He quickly stood up and started running in random directions because his senses were blaring at him that this monster could hurt him even through armour because of how weak its body is that it could not even face the impact that came out of attack stopped by the armour.

He kept running in that direction while being faced with many attacks from that shadow monster which was attacking him on the back.

But the armour on the back was much tougher than any other place as a back for an armadillo is its strong point which was also reflected in his armour due to being originated from the monster soul of the Armadillo monster.

Monster was still relentless in his pursuit of attacking Arc.

"You dumb creature, Leave me alone. You can't hurt me through this." Shouting this Arc picked up more speed using the potential and physical development brought by gene points.

Arc was running so fast that he could have easily broken the record of fastest man.

He was so immersed in his running that he lost sense of his surroundings.

"Wow, this feeling is, it is just amazing," Arc shouted feeling liberated from the normal bindings of daily life.

But using all the strength at once with an explosive burst made him breathless and left him panting in little time.

"Man, I now am more curious what would happen if I got all the gene points there is. How strong would I become?" Arc still said in that heavy breathing.

As the excitement of new things just washed out and his rationality returned, he started looking around him and found that the monster attacking him was nowhere near him now.

He know the persistence of these monsters and this shocked that a monster faster than him would leave him.

He had previously seen the crazy brutality in the eyes of those sparrow monsters, even when they had seen their companions die, they did not retreat but attacked him more violently.

He inside knew that this was at least not a good sign.

He has also lost the sense of direction as to how to go back because in his running while being chased by an unknown monster till here, he has taken many turns and jumps to shake off the monster.

He slowly considered his options in the present situation and thought that it would be best if he just retraced his steps somehow and got back before going to hunt again as he did not have my offensive means.

"Man, watching those tutorials, I thought it was really easy but it is so hard to trace back the step in the forest. When I go back, I must go comment on how hard it is and not to be fooled by them to go into the forest which will result in them dying." He cursed those tutorial makers who make everything seem so easy.

Spent a whole day just walking and retracing those steps while avoiding any big and strong monsters this time, although he still met some weak monsters and killed them, he finally reached the place from where he left the human shelter.

He called his soul armour back and started walking down towards the gates of the human shelter.

"Where do you think you are going? Today, I will kill you." The man jumped in his direction while saying this. He wasn't like those villains who say so large speeches before attacking someone. He said it at the moment when he had already attacked to not give Arc the ability to react while also fulfilling his vanity to mock his prey.

Arc was taken by surprise, as he was unable to react to this fast foe even with his gene points. He can only do one thing and that was to summon his monster soul armour.

It quickly wrapped around Arc before even the attacker reached him.

And then a sound was heard.

'Clang'

It was the sound of two metallic things colliding with each other.

"Oh! Monster soul armour, and it must be high high-ranked one at that." A person who attacked him said while smirking and licking his lips like he had found his favourite item in a famous game.

Arc who had some hint of what was happening quickly came to senses and prepared to fight while taking a newbie pose of martial arts that he learned while watching a famous anime.

The person attacked him again and this time his smile was not annoying but scary like some mythical death reaper or person who is about to have a big feast after a long time of not eating anything.

A cold wave climbed on the spine of Arc like it was a big danger to his life, he thought of resolving the situation but quickly discarded that idea.

Then at that moment, the attacker was near him again while expecting some hand attacks from the identity of the person he was attacking.

'Spurt'

In the eyes of the attackers was surprised and in his chest was a hole created by a spear-thrusted chest held by Arc.
