Is The Villainess Supposed To Be This Overpowered?
The Enchanting Saint tells the story of female lead Aurelia Cassidy, a kind-hearted woman who unlocks the power of a saint. Her ending is picture perfect: she uses her powers to completely quell the Corruption, a degenerative plague affecting the natural world, and finds love with the crown prince along the way.
However, this ending does not come without sacrifices. Lucienne Arden, daughter of the famous archmage River Arden, is the villainess that must meet an untimely end. As the fiancée of the crown prince, she constantly harasses Aurelia for her relationship with him. In the end, Lucienne even attempts to take Aurelia’s life in an act of twisted jealousy. As such, she is sentenced to death, and the two are finally able to live happily.
Now, this may all seem good and dandy, but I promise you it’s not. Why, you may ask? Because I, an avid reader of The Enchanting Saint, have just reincarnated into the body of Lucienne Arden!
On top of having to cautiously tread the path of my fate to avoid an untimely demise, another unpredictable element has been added to the equation: I somehow have holy powers, just like Aurelia!
Is the villainess supposed to be this overpowered? What is the Goddess thinking?
