Game of Thrones-The Black Lord

(Sequel To “For The Queen, Not The Prince”) It all started in Summerhall. Aegon The Unlikely’s attempt at resurrecting the Dragons was successful but at the cost of his life. The fire was able to be put out, not before it took Aegon V's life as well as his son, Ser Duncan The Tall, and a few rooms. Ever since then, the events that decide the fate of Westeros had vastly changed. Dragons had returned; it was said that during the night of the fire, a bright crimson comet was seen in the night sky. During the end of King Aerys’s reign, a Rebellion started. But it wasn’t started by Robert Baratheon due to Rhaegar’s actions. Robert instead fought for the Targaryens and was married to a Princess which resulted with them having a son, Rhaegon. Rhaegon Baratheon is the rider of Morghul, a massive Black Dragon that Hatched at the end of the Rebellion started by the River Dragon. He was not just named after the Dragon that was bound to Aegon III's first wife and cousin, Jaehera but because of Rhaegon's unique sense of humor as he inherited his mother's spirit. Rhaegon and Myrcella

(Rhaegon's POV)

I sighed, "Oh boy...." I said as I dismounted Morghul at the King's Landing Dragonpit, "Here we go again...."

One of the keepers greeted me, "My Prince, welcome." He said in High Valyrian

I nodded as Morghul vocalized loudly, "I leave him in your care."

He bowed slightly as I walked past him, making my way past towards the gate as I heard Morghul rumbling behind me.

I was summoned to King's Landing, something I didn't want for a while, but I cannot refuse the King, can I? I had no choice but to let the Sand Snakes back at Summerhall, I hope nothing bad happens while I'm gone. They've all threatened me, saying that if I sleep with a whore in King's Landing, they'll cut my balls off.

Who do they think they're talking to? I don't go around whoring. If I have sex with a woman, I ain't gonna pay her to.

They all promised they'll behave if I gave them a serious departure gift, which I did. Left them bed-ridden for a day, I bet.

I rubbed my neck as I reached the gate, "Oh man...." I groaned as I looked up at the sky, "This is one for the History Books...."

"Ser Rhaegon." I heard someone call for me

I looked straight ahead to see Ser Barristan Selmy standing several meters away from the gate, almost as if he was waiting for me.

"Oh, Ser Barristan." I said as I walked up to him, "What are you doing here?"

"Waiting for you, My Prince." He said with a slight smile

"Prince, huh?" I said, "Who would've thought? I don't like being called that, honestly."

"You're the Prince of Summerhall." He said with a chuckle, "Being called that comes with the benefits."

"I suppose so." Rhaegon said, "But oh well. Why're you waiting for me?"

"Since you're the Prince, the King figured it's appropriate to have a Kingsguard escort you." He said

"Me?" I said, "Oh, please, Ser Barristan, you of all people know that I don't need an escort."

"Ah, but it feels good to catch up once in a while, no?" He said, "I like to know how my pupil is taking his sudden promotions."

"It's all for the sake of the realm." I shrugged

"The Lord-Commander can say he's proud of you." He said with a chuckle as we began to walk, "Ser Arthur always knew you were capable of great things."

"Yea, like killing a Great Khal and inciting a massive Dothraki army to invade Westeros?" I asked with a chuckle, "That one is on me; I will deal with it."

"War is on the Horizon." He said, "I have a feeling it'll be as bad as the River Dragon's Rebellion."

"Or worse."

***********************************

"Well well well...." I hear the arrogant voice which caused me to instinctively roll my eyes

I turned to see Ser Jaime walk up to me with a smug smile on his face.

"Ser Jaime." I said

We were in the hallway that led to the Small Council Room, where King Rhaegar was waiting for us with Tywin Lannister.

He eyed me up and down, "My Prince." He said with a chuckle, "I must say, Ser Barristan, I never thought that the pupil you and Ser Arthur shared would come up this far in the world. Prince of Summerhall, next in line for the Throne after Viserys Targaryen. Who would've thought?"

"Everyone in the Realm." I said with a shrug

"Ser Jaime." Ser Barristan said, "If you're here, who's with the Princesses?"

"The Lord-Commander." Ser Jaime said, "Princess Naerys and Princess Helaena are with Her Grace, the Queen off in the Secret Gardens as Ser Arthur is overseeing their protection. Nobody can do a thing with the Sword of The Morning in the vicinity."

"That may be so." I said as I crossed my arms, "What? Is my aunt tired of your smug face?"

"Oh, how hurtful." Jaime said with a smirk, "You are quite like your father, Ser Rhaegon....you do like being called Ser, right?"

I waved him off, "Call me what you like." I said

"If I did that, you'd have my tongue." Jaime joked, "Congratulations, Rhaegon, truly. As an Uncle, I wish to say that nobody in this Realm is truly worth of my Niece's hand."

I gave him a surprised look, "Oh?" I said, "Jaime Lannister, being sincere?"

He chuckled, "Don't push your luck." He said, "If you excuse me, I have to go and greet Prince Viserys and His Daughter."

"Ah, shit." I said as I rolled my eyes, "Nothing good can come from this....good fortune for you."

I turned around and continued walking as Ser Barristan followed me.

After a few silent moments, I reached the doors and opened them, walking through as I approached the Small Council table.

Uncle was sitting at the head of the table as Tywin Lannister sat next to him, giving me a serious and col look, a classic Tywin special.

"Sorry I'm late, Your Grace, Lord Hand." I said, "Morghul felt lazy to-"

I stopped and looked Uncle's side, Myrcella was standing there with a bright smile on her face.

"Hi Rhaegon!" She said with excitement

"You're late." Tywin said seriously

"Ah, Rhaegon." Uncle stood, "I'm sure Shaena has told you by now."

I nodded slowly, "Y-Yea...." I said, "She did....."

"Well, I....the thing is..." Uncle said as he rubbed his hair, "Wow, there's no easy way to say this, but yea....Look, Rhaegon, the reason I called you here is because I want to speak to you personally and give you my ble-"

"We're getting married, Rhaegon!" Myrcella ran up to me with a bright smile

She jumped at me and hugged me tightly as she giggled.

"Ah...." I said as I reluctantly patted her shoulder as I felt Tywin's cold gaze on me

Myrcella pulled away and smiled, a bit of tears of joy in her eyes, "I'm so happy...." She said softly, "Aren't you?"

"Well, the thing is..." I said as I looked at her

"I know this isn't what you may have wanted, Rhaegon. It feels like I'm forcing many things upon you.." I heard Uncle say

"Your Grace, you are the King." Tywin said, "You cannot just voice your reluctance, you must be firm with your actions. Rhaegon is to be wed to Myrcella, this is the best course of action, for the sake of the Realm. Do you not agree, Rhaegon?"

I looked at him, "Hm..."

"This is a big deal for me, Tywin." Uncle said as he looked at him, "My eldest daughter is finally to be wed, after so long. I....I don't know..."

"Considering this is Rhaegon we're speaking about, it should be expected that you'll be.....soft." Tywin said standing up, "You must be firm and authoritative like you normally are. You cannot just stammer like a lost child looking for their mother."

"Whoa." I said with a frown, "You're speaking to the King."

"Aye, I am." Tywin said as he walked towards me, "And let me tell you something, boy, you are to be wed to one of the most important young women in this world. You best not make some foolish mistake and insult her by fathering a bastard with the other three bastards you have in Summerhall. I am tolerant enough of them due to His Grace's wishes to be in a permanent alliance with Dorne."

Myrcella hugged my arm, "He won't do it, Grandfather." she said softly, "Right, Rhaegon?"

I sighed, "No..." I said, "You know, this is a bit strange for me....she's my cousin and all."

"It doesn't matter." Tywin said as he stood in front of me, "You will marry because Duty demands it. You will produce more Targaryen-blooded children so we can keep a firm grip on the Realm while our enemies gather in the hopes of attacking us. It took a lot of convincing on your Mother's part to allow more black-headed princes run around in court."

The way he was coldly looking at me, it's as if he wanted to intimidate me. What the hell is his problem?

I didn't ask for this. I care for Myrcella but for me to wish to marry her? I never once thought about it. I am only doing this because I must marry someone. And if my Mother, Father, and my King say it's supposed to be Myrcella...then who am I to deny that?

"Tywin...." Uncle said as he walked towards us, "Enough. I called him over in goodwill, okay? This isn't a formal event. I just want him to know that I do this for his own benefit as well. This is good, though, right Rhaegon?"

"You are acting like a Father, Rhaegar, not a King.." Tywin said as he looked at him, "We're on the brink of War. As we speak the Pretender is amassing more power. He's gotten the Second Sons to his ranks now. They are not as big or as shiny as The Golden Company, but they're formidable enough to cause trouble."

"Relax." Uncle said, "Our deterrents are doing their job in keeping them at bay."

"Hm." Tywin said as he walked away, "That may be so. But these two must marry at once and produce children. There is no time to lose."

"Hey." I said with a frown, "You can't just tell me to put a child in my own cousin out of the blue, the fuck is wrong with you?"

"Easy, Rhaegon." He said as he stood in front of us, "Ah....I never imagined this day to come...."

Myrcella chuckled, "Thank you, Father..." She said brightly, "I always wanted to marry Rhaegon...."

Uncle smiled, "I know it, my sweet girl." He said, "This calls for a celebration. Tonight....."

"I throw a Feast."
