Family system

You can skip this chapter if you don't like reading the sad part of the story. This part concerns the MC's death but isn't really relevant to the story just a way of introducing it.

There I am, all alone. Just like I predicted, it will happen. With all the things surrounding me, even way back when I was a child, everything and everyone is always against me.

I was born to two 18-year-olds who had a one-night stand. My father abandoned me even before I was born, and I lost my mother after she gave birth to me due to complications. So I was all alone in the world, and like every child who is an orphan, I was put in an adoption centre. I don't know why someone would do it, but rumours are going around that I am a child that brings bad luck. So, even when I was a baby, I didn't have anyone that I could ever call mom or dad because no family likes to adopt a baby that people say is cursed.

I grew up mostly alone, but along the way, I made many friends because kids didn't listen to rumours until I found out that they also did. I had one friend in particular that I liked. She had blond hair and blue eyes. She was on the shorter side, and I found her incredibly cute. She was extremely kind to me and would always make me laugh when I was feeling down.

One day after school, I was at home and realized that I had forgotten my homework. The school was always open, even late at night, because there were a lot of clubs going on, and people needed to train and study. So anyway, when I arrived at school, I was surprised that I got to see that girl, but she had her back turned to me, and she was speaking to some friends, and this was the conversation that I could hear.

Friend 1: "How long are you going to be playing with that cursed child? I mean, don't you ever get tired of putting on that shitty act that's all friendly and stuff."

Friend 2: "Yeah, she is right. I can't believe that you are still playing with him."

Blond girl: "I don't know, okay, it's just kind of addictive to see a man with so much hope fall, so I got to bring him to his peak before taking everything from him."

Friend 1: Hahahaha, I can already see his face when he finds out what you're up to. That's hilarious."

Friend 2: "There is the friend I know. I was thinking you were going soft on him, you know. Maybe you took pity on him."

Blond girl: "No way that pathetic loser is ever going to be real friends with me."

My heart shattered into pieces when I heard what they were talking about. I didn't even know it still existed. I didn't expect the one real friend I had in my life to use it for her sadistic pleasure. I don't even know how to react.

Two hours later

Our MC was found drinking in his room with the beers he had in his fridge. But, as luck would have it, he ran out. Fuck!! Jack screamed while throwing his last empty can of beer against the wall. Jack looked at the beer can and said, "Why does it always come up like this? I always make the wrong choices with people, and the rumour I am cursed is getting to a point where it is not just a rumour, or so the people believe.

Ahhh, I have to buy new beer again. Mhm, I swear I was going to do groceries yesterday. Why did I not do them again? Oh yeah, I was hanging out with that blond bitch!! Jack started cursing again but ultimately decided to buy some more beer from the grocery store, and as you guessed, he was it by a truck. 'Uhhhh, just as I thought, dying was a relief when life is not suitable for you; like now, for me, an orphan has nothing to offer in life.

I'm glad I learned all the skills I did because my dream is to get isekaid in a world where I don't get shunned for just by existing. The skills he was talking about are survival skills he learned while he was trying to survive in the forest when he ran away from the orphanage; the second was business, which he was learning in university; accounting and finance are with it; thus, he can handle a business perfectly if he has a starting capital, which he didn't have in this life; and the third skill is leadership, which he had to go to night classes for but he could not at least act as a good leader and knows how to gather loyalty from subordinates. But if he ever gets to use those skills, we have yet to determine.
