Chapter 180: I went to visit my father.

" Father, Can I ask you something ? "

" Mmm ..."

" About me and Derrick. " She looked at him thoughtfully.

" Derrick ? How did you get to know about him ? " Robert was surprised because he was sure that now his Marvis forgot everything.

" He visited me earlier. And said that he was my fiance . "

" Yes. That is true.." Robert answered.

" What happened ? How did I break up with him ? " Alyssa asked.

" I remember you two were so much in love. And he proposed to you. Even though his parents were against it, Derrick really loved you until he found out that you were pregnant. "

" Then, If he loved me , Why did he dump me after knowing i was pregnant ? " Alyssa demanded.

" His parents asked him to have your baby aborted."

" What ? " Alyssa couldn't believe that.

" Yeah. At first he wasn't willing but when his parents found her another girl from a richer family to marry, He changed his mind and asked you to abort and break up with him. "

" How could he do that to me ? " Alyssa asked.

" It was all my fault. I accepted the money to keep your proposal and pregnancy a secret. But even though Derrick dumped you, You were still willing to keep your baby. Matt and I told you to abort everyday and when you refused, I am sorry...We kicked You out of the house. I am sorry Marvis, I am even embarrassed to tell you this.." By the time Robert finishing narrating his eyes were already tearing.

" I am sorry Marvis...Forgive me..." He cried.

" Father, It's okay.. " Alyssa said and begun rubbing off his tears with her thumb.

" I never heard from you again until the day you had the accident. " He added.

They were still talking when Alyssa's suddenly groaned in pain.

" What's wrong ? " Robert asked.

" My stomach is aching.." she cried.

" Ooh, There's a clinic in the neighborhood. I will take you there. " Said Robert and he helped her to get up.

After checking her and giving her pills. The local doctor Said. " She is allergic to fried eggs. Next time be careful. "

" Really, But she used to eat them woth no problem. " Robert wondered.

" Somtimes the body changes. " Said tge doctor.

" Its okay Doctor. Thanks. We shall leave. " Alyssa said and left with Robert.

They were just outside when Alyssa's phone rung and when she checked it was Calcel.

" Excuse me..." She said and went to ahead of Robert.

" Calcel..What makes you call ? " She called.

" Bad girlfriend ! Is that how you will keep on answering my calls ? " Calcel asked.

" Of course no. I am sorry if i replied rudely. " She said.

" I miss you. Can i come and pay a visit ? "

" Huh..I am not at my place. "

Where are you ? "

" I went to visit my father..." She honestly answered.

" Didn't you say your parents kicked you out ? "

" It was my Step mother's doing. But now she's gone. So ...I can visit my Dad as much as I want. " She said cheerfully.

When Calcel heard this his mind went back to the day he quarreled with Marvis about her step mother.

....." The things you don't want to remember that I remind you...It's your late step mother , Right ? " Alyssa asked him but this made Calcel look sadder and angry at the same time.

" Ive had a step mother before so...I understand what it feels like to have one. " She spoke trying to motivate him.

" What do you want to mean ? " Calcel asked not understanding where she was going.

" It hurts and its painful. It looks like your step mother tortured you just like mine did so if I remind of such an evil mother...I will leave as soon as possible. So..." Alyssa was still talking when Calcel grabbed her wrist very hard and strong.

" Hi..." she groaned in pain. " You are hurting me..." She cried from the pain he inflicted onto her hand as she looked up at him to ask for some mercy.

" My step mother was not as evil as yours. Never mention that again ! " He said out of anger as he squeezed her hand.....

Calcel sighed after this memory. Alyssa was on the phone and she noticed his silence.

" Calcel ? " She called to check if he was still on.

" Huh..." He came back to reality.

" Are you fine ? " She asked on hearing his sigh.

" I am okay. I will hung up. " He said and ended the call.

After the call he left the house and got into his car which he drove on high speed.

Alyssa went back to talk to Robert after the call.

Calcel drove directly to Alyssa's grave. He had carried with him flowers and a bottle of red wine and when he reached he put the flowers there and then sat down before the stone.

" Alyssa...it's been long since I visited you. Aren't you angry with me ? " He begun talking to the stone that had the name Alyssa Stuart.

" I..have many things to tell you today. I don't know what to start with.."

" Well...the first thing is that. When you left, i thought that i would never fall in love again. But then, There is this girl who came into my life. She looks exactly like you, Except the face. But you remember her, Do you ? She was the girl we met at the hospital. Marvis..." He sighed and poured himself a drink which he took in one gulp.

" I never knew that she would turn out to be the woman that I would love. " He declared.

" Alyssa, Hope you allow this. I love Marvis and I want her to be my wife. And...I want to spend the rest of life with her. So...I hope you can rest in peace. And be happy there. I know you are in heaven...so..." He signed again.

" I hope you accept it. " He poured himself another glass and he was like that when he saw another figure coming towards him from the distance.

When the person who was coming reached closer he got up to have a clear view of her when she realized that it was actually Gladys.

Gladys was surprised to find Calcel here.

" Calcel...This is really you. What brought you here ? "

He smiled and said. " I never visited Alyssa since we buried her so i came to pay my respects. "

Gladys first put her flowers too there and then turned to look at Calcel.

" I always come here after two months. Its been long since i also came. "

" Huh...You must have been lonely whenever you came. " Calcel spoke.

" No...not really. She was my daughter. "
