Fallen Aria

In the book called The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Baum, there's a girl named Dorothy whose swept by a cyclone from her Kansas home to the Land of Oz. There she met some friends along the way to return home, which one of them is Tin Woodman. If you remember a little about him, a wicked wizard from the East enchant his axe to chop him limb by limb and all he can do is to replace them with tin, all for a woman he ever loved. But one thing he cannot help with was his heart, if he also changed it to tin, he would never be able to love the woman he had fallen for. That's why he went along with Dorothy to the Emerald City to get a heart. While the book ended up with him getting the heart that he wants, will it be the same happy ever ending for our Main Lead?

She was born in 1930 as an ordinary little girl from a common family in Switzerland near the border of Germany. Every morning, her vater* will go to the factory near the city with his old bike while her mutter** stay at home to nurse her. They have a small farm at the back of their house like any other house in that village. They grew all kind of things like wheat, potatoes, and vegetables. They also have a cow named Paulo and some sheeps. While her mutter is working in the farm, she will place her in a cloth that she hung on a tree branch, resulting a simple cradle for the baby.

Aria was the name of the baby, it means 'treasure' in Albanian. It came with a reason, her mutter wasn't able to conceive another child after Aria was born, thus she become the one and only child of the family. Even though they are from a village, her mutter was really smart and she thought her pretty well. Aria can speak Germany and French quite well when she was just 5 years old and even a little bit of Italian. She loves to help her mother in the farm and with her chubby leg, she will run as fast as the wind to her vater when her vater reach home everyday. She grew up well despite the war that happened around her. The laugh of the family seems will never die, it's really such a beautiful memory.

The memory of Aria is really good since she was a child. She remember standing near her mutter while holding a basket in their farm, her mutter always looks beautiful with red hair flowing with the wind, a small smile carved on her lips that's so blinding like a sun. Aria believe that her vater is the most lucky man in the world, he got a beautiful wife and a really cute daughter to add. Contrast with her petite mutter, her vater has a big build body with a thick dark brown beard and mustache. You can only see his mouth when he laugh but he does it rarely. He likes to hold Aria up and fly her around the house, place her on his laps and read her bedtime story despite after working tiredly all day long.

Aria remember that very night when every thing start to change little by little. That night when she was only 8 years old, the rain and wind howling through the windows like a mad person. It's the first time they experience a weather like this, our little Aria sitting on the couch counting numbers while waiting for her vater to come home. She keeps fidgeting and grabbing tightly into her yellow skirt. Her mutter was in the kitchen preparing for their dinner, the usual humming isn't there because her mutter also looks nervous somehow. In no time, a heavy step was heard, it didn't take a second late for Aria to run to the door. The door was open and her vater was there soaking wet, he looks bothered but Aria didn't know why. Her mutter also came to the door but she looks relief only for a second. When her vater step inside, Aria and her mutter saw another man behind him. He wear a black hat on top of his dark red hair, her mutter looks pale instantly and it change to anger.

"What are you doing here?" she snapped and glared fiercely on the man.

The man tried to step inside but was blocked by her mutter. When he looks up, Aria saw his face looks so much like her mother. He smile helplessly and look to Aria's vater asking for help.

"Alona, let's get inside first." her vater place his hand on her mutter's shoulder gently to reassured her. Finally, her mutter relantedly step aside to let the man in. Her vater carry Aria to the bedroom,

"Little Aria, can you help vater to wait here for a second?"

"Okay." she nodded and her vater left, there's a small creak on the door and she can hear and see a little bit of the conversation that happened.

"What do you want Azriel?" her mutter start talking again after her vater sit beside her. This time, she talked a little bit more restrain than before.

"I come here to deliver a news." Not only Aria's parent that looks restless, even the man did so. They kept mum to let the man speak further.

"The war will broke soon." he start.

"We are not related to this Azriel." Alona cut him off.

"It's not just that Alona....." He looks more nervous now, "I heard that someone in Germany has a plan to hunt down us." he keep going.

"We are in Switzerland now, nothing can hurt her." her vater hold her mutter's hand tighter.

"I only want to warn you, Alona. Anything could happen and it's best for us to prepare for everything." after saying that, he stood up and walk out while Aria's parent still sit on the sofa. Her vater hug her mutter and gently said,

"Everything will be alright."
