Ersetu: The Rise of The Great Villain

I remember that day soo vividly as it was just like yesterday, The day i lost everything, The day they took everything from me.

The Great Empire of Dawn was at its peak controlling all of Europa as it peaked it's strength but the Emperor's grip in Power was loosening as the Emperor's own men wanted more, more than what the Emperor held.

The Empire was so vast that many local lords were incharge ruling the regions on behalf of the Emperor as at first the Emperor's controlled the Army but later the Lord's and their households were allowed to have their own private military to defend their lands and ensure order prevails.

Perhaps such a blunder was the reason why the capital in the lands of Germania burned as the city of Berin the capital of Dawn burned as it wasn't burned by the barbarians nor rebels but the armies belonging to the local rulers who wished for more.

The more they wanted the more they gained as the whole Empire fell under an era of corruption with the emperor only existing as a ceremonial position to ensure the Imperial Family never dies down.

The whole take over was orchestrated by the Rhodes Household, A mere knight house which gained power after accomplishing many deeds whom became a barony, they held a powerful knight force who was feared by everyone.

With such powers the Rhodes simply wanted more and the more they gained as they began to drive their bare teeth on the administration gaining more power.

At the end Rhodes became the commanding force of the Empire and finally the General who was the head of Rhodes drove his sword through the aging Emperor and placed the Emperor's youngest child on the throne as he became the regent of the young Emperor.

I was a simple child living a village which was called Rudmark, it was a cluster of villages as all of them combined together were called Rudmark.

There wasn't anything special about us, we were just a normal agricultural village as we simply lived out our lives in the rice fields.

The news of the capital coming under the control of the General was never heard till this far South especially to the coast of the Iberian peninsula.

Perhaps it was fate as the new Government believed that they should instill fear on the far country side rather than the big cities as the cities were spread from destruction but the countryside the villages.

We were not shown any ounce of mercy as it was simply a bloody onslaught, one village after another, they killing and killing.

The reason was unknown as some say they simply did it to say we can kill anyone who dares to question us.

But we never questioned them, we never asked for such bloody fate and that day they came, they came to my Village.

EOD 921,

" comeeeeee, we gonna misss ittt..." — Voice of a young girl was heard as she was seen pulling a boy.

" No no no, why you wake me up to just see some trains... There is nothing special about emmm.." — The boy said in a disgruntled voice while being pulled by the girl.

" Boooooo, you are soo boring.." — She said while puffing her cheeks.

" Aish this girl... We are not kids anymore you know.." — The boy said while sighing as he shook his head.

" Whaaaa, we are still 10 bozoo.. it's foine to be childish.. atleast we don't have to worry like the adults..." — She said while smiling cheerfully..

" Aside from the cuteness why you have to be soooo " — Before he can finish his words she pulled him as they both made their way near the rails.

It was a hilly region as they could see the whole village from their due to the height along with the trains.

The train was run using a mana powered engine as it made it faster and powerful enough to carry heavy loads as it was beautiful because of the steam it releases as the steam goes up up towards the sky it forms a rainbow due to mana reacting with the mana particles in the sky.

A sight which every kid loved to see as it was simply beautiful like her.

As the village was farther south, the trains connected it with the main lands to ensure travel was easier as using horses is slow.

Humanity has achieved a lot amidst the thirst for blood as humans always love kill each and establish dominance and in that thirst for blood and power, humanity produced newer technology which weren't made to ease up human life but rather to exterminate humans who oppose them.

Perhaps such things can lead to the invention and investment on things which can change human life as we know it.

But humanity is always lustful towards violence as violence can give them dominance over others, absolute power and undeniable influence across the lands as humans always creates conflicts for this sole purpose showing no matter what humanity will always be the worst in the planet.

" What's that smoke.." — The Girl said while poking his shoulders.

" Probably.... Wait that's..." — The Boy rushed towards the village as the girl followed him while shouting to slow down.

" Why you have to run that fast.." — she said as she reached him as he stopped infront of the village.

" Mo– Mommmmmm..." — The Boy screamed as he ran towards his house which was located deep inside the village.

" Why is the village burning... Stop wait for meee.." — The Girl mumbled as she couldn't understand what was going on as the village was burning and the villagers running here and there.

The boy ran and ran as he reached infront of his house and for his suprise his house completely burned and crashed down as he saw the body of his mother.

Her body was seperated into two as the lower part was crushed and seperated as her lifeless eyes of her burned corpses reflected him as he couldn't cry he couldn't scream.

Perhaps being a child made him unable to cry as he simply couldn't feel sorrow nor anger nor anything except despair as a child who doesn't know what despair is, he simply spiraled into confusion as is whole body began to feel like it was being squeezed.

All he felt was nothing as it was void, he felt that he alone as the only person who was there for him was his mother who raised him and she is gone all of a sudden as he felt the despair of loneliness.

" You are here, we have to go.. they say some soldiers are killing everyone.. come on let's goo.." — The Girl found him as she shouted for him to see as she raised her hand so he can grab on and escape.

He turned around as a slight small ray of home began to shine infront of him as the hope of the fact that he wasn't alone.

" I - I... wait for me.. I am coming.." — His lips moved slowly releasing a small volume of voice as he slowly began to walk forward as he didn't wanted to let go, he didn't wanted to be alone...

She smiled, her smile was uplifting but fate was cruel, it's always cruel to those who are in need of hope as an arrow pierced through her head completely going through to it and hitting the ground beside her.

He paused as he simply couldn't believe it, as she fell down on the ground he simply couldn't figure it out.

" Why.... Why me..." — The words uttered by the boy as he saw the cruelest thing of what fate can do to one person.

2 hours later,

The Soldiers formed a line as they began to salute, as the commander in his mighty stallion entered the burned down village as he was escorted by an entourage of Armed Knights.

" Reports, Officer.." — The Commander said whilst riding his horse slowly as the soldiers salute.

" All the traitors towards the Imperial Throne have been killed, We have ensured to kill them and burn their houses to leave no trace of their existence.." — The Captain who lead the whole operation spoke while walking beside the stallion.

" Wonderful, Be quick as we do not want others to know what we are doing at the outskirts of the Empire.." — The Commander replied to the Captain whilst looking at the burning village as the helmet was hiding his true emotions which was off pure evil smirk.

The boy from earlier slowed walked into the pathway as he was holding a mana gun as the gun can shoot mana but can only be used by humans who can exert and control raw form of mana.

" A child... No no, he has a weapon... Soldiers protect the Commander, kill the child..." — The Captain shouted at the moment he saw the gun held by the boy.

" No need to be worried, that is an old Mana Gun from Winchester Factory... It won't work, capture the child and throw him into pit where you burned the corposes.." — Said the Commander who simply found this as a petty moment which had no value.

" As you wish my Lord... Well, Men capture the child and if he resists break his limps.." — The Captain gave the orders as the men began to make their move slowly towards the child so the child won't run away..

The boy, he didn't tremble as in his eyes there wasn't any ounce of emotions as he felt numb and from that emptiness came the strength which seek one thing, death of everything in this world, the world which wronged him and took everything he valued and things he only had..

The boy pointed his gun towards the Commander as inside the barrel a light shined in the colour of sky blue a pure raw form of mana existing in abundance over the sky.

For all their suprise and to the suprise of the commander who deemed the whole situation to have no ounce of value was witnessing death right infront of them.

As the whole village go enveloped the sky blue light which seemly calmed the whole land before everything blew up.

As with the explosion rose the first embers of rebellion against the oppressors who began the killing in the mindless thirst for power as this was simply the beginning.
