"I volunteer Marcus Thorne and his party to join Ms. Gremory's team." Syn shouted and the six assholes and Lisa looked at him with shock and rage while I tried my best to stifle a laugh.

"What the hell are you doing, Syn?" Marcus shouted at him.

"Mr. Syn are you going to send knights of the family to ensure Marcus's safety?" Ellios asked with concern in his voice.

"No I will not." Syn said

"Then I cannot allow you to send my brother on such a dangerous quest. He is simply too weak to participate." Ellios said as if he was stating a fact and I could hear Marcus grins his teeth.

"I'll do it. Come on you guys." He shouted and made his way to the stage.

"Marcus wait think this through." Sarah said and this was the first time I ever heard her defy Marcus. I always thought of her as something akin to a tail doing whatever Marcus did or told her to do.

"As long as I'm with you everything will be fine." He turned towards her and said.
