"Alex are you ok?" Rosa asked in a panic as she saw me fall to the ground and puke out a mouthful of blood.

"Yeah." I said as I got up panting with my back covered in sweat.

'My gamble has paid off. Since the beasts body and Shadow is the same it is more susceptible to my [Shadow Control] but.... at the end of the day it is still a D ranked beast.' I thought. When I used [Shadow Control] on the crow it felt like I was struck in the head by a sledge hammer which caused me to fall onto the ground.

'The [Shadow Control] will probably be less effective than before but maybe...' I thought and then looked at Rosa and a plan formed in my mind.

"Can you do that again?" Greg asked

"Yeah but the duration should be shorter bow that it knows I can do it." I said and he nodded while Rosa sighed.

"Hey Rosa, do you think your fire chain could hold it down if I managed to stop it again?" I asked and she looked at me strangely
