As he sat down, that sandalwood and musk drifted in her nose again, making her recall the times that they were closer to each other than they were now.
She could not help but think about what would happen after the party is over, making her nervous and curious at the same time.
But she shoved it away as she quickly answered, "It is fine, your Majesty." She bowed her head.
King Adamos's eyes twinkled at her response. "You need not be so formal when it is just the two of us, Evie."
Evie looked at him with her knitting eyebrows. She was not even used to hearing him speak her name informally. And now he wanted her to be informal with him.
In fairness, hearing him say her name alone gave her tingles.
