A girl with too much power, finding a place for herself in this vast world.
Anna felt her breath become laboured as she breathed in and breathed out slowly. It is as if her body was deciding enough was enough and wanted to just end itself for good. How did it come to it? She was just going through her usual routine and checking for prey with a big fat purse for her to pocket, she didn't expect to encounter a cape fight on her way. Well, to be fair, she should have expected. After all, this is New York and there is always a cape fight. She saw a cape fight and like the idiot she is, she decided to spectate it behind the trash cans. Now, look at her, just a stray shot and Anna was about to die. But Anna concurred with herself that it was no one's fault, but her. She sighed slowly and winced from her pain. How unpleasant. However, she doesn't want to die. She wants to live. There are so many things she has to do. She couldn't die here.
'Survive'
She crawled with her teeth gritted. This is hopeless. She was inside a filthy back alley from the start. Already, rodents were here, ready to devour her corpse once she stopped struggling. She had to get to the nearest hospital. She knew she wouldn't make it. But she would try. To survive. She has to survive. If anything, she has to survive for Reggie. She also has to make her bastard parents pay. She has to survive. Anna also cursed stupid heroes and PRT troopers for not doing their jobs and saving her. Though admittedly, she was far away from the fight and no one would account for her watching. Still, they should have watched their surroundings a little harder. Anna felt irritated. As she crawled, she felt something inside her growing. With a push, her soul exploded in pure power. Her body, unchained by gravity, hovered in the air. Her broken body fixed itself and her eyes radiated with untold wisdom. She understood so many things. She slowly came down from the air. She knew what to do now.
On a dingy house, a crackling voice of T.V could be heard.

Announcer Voice: On May 20th, 1982, we first discovered the world's first Parahuman and hero, Scion, hovering over the Atlantic Ocean in all his golden glory. At some point in time, there came more, men and women like him, each with their own unique powers and laws governing it, they are formally called Parahumans. Even with all of them, Scion, the first Parahuman, remained strongest. Many studies were made, however, none were able to find out the reason behind this phenomenon. As time went on, many Parahumans decided to put on masks and started to fight crimes, they are called heroes. However, with heroes, villains appeared. Those Parahumans who decided to put on masks and lived second lives are called Capes. Now, let's welcome Dr Park, a world-leading expert in Parahumansim. Hello Dr Park. Glad to have you here.
Dr Park: Yes, Glad to have you too
Announcer Voice: So, Doctor, what is your opinion on the current state of the world? Is the emergence of parahumans a good thing or a bad thing?
Dr Park: It's hard to say. There are many good things done by the parahumans and bad things too. Just look at Africa and Asia. There are many parahuman warlords, who fashioned themselves as gods, committing many atrocious ta…..Hisssss….

"Heya, little girl, what are you doing alone here? Why don't you come with this brother? I will find you a nice place to live," As soon as she went inside the neighbourhood, she met with this. Hell's Kitchen or Clinton was mostly a normal neighbourhood, consisting of many restaurants before Scion. Now, it is ridden with gangs, villains, and vigilantes and has become a hotbed for crimes and back-alley deals.
She smirked at the poor guy as walked near him quickly and pulled him into her domain. It was a pity her domain was too small with measly five feet now. However, that would change soon. In her domain, her will is absolute. Everything obeys her in here, life, death, time, space, and even reality itself. Once the guy was in the domain, she grabbed his neck.
"Where is your boss?" She asked, looking at the guy as if he was something beneath her, like an insect.
"Fuck you, bitch," the man wheezed. Anna frowned. She didn't like controlling the mind of others, since it left a bad taste in her mind, and she was merciful. So, she just made him unable to faint and began to strip his body of skin slowly.
"I don't know! I am just a bottom thug! I really don't know! Please kill me!" the guy cried out. Anna frowned. She sighed internally in displeasure. It seemed that she would have to spend a long time here. However, that is alright. She has time.
"Tell me who knew then," she urged the poor guy as she skinned a bit more.
"I knew this guy, his name is Steven Sawyer. He lives at xxx,xxx. Please let me go," The guy, bleeding from all over the body, with the skin peeled like a fruit, pleaded.
"All right," she said and dropped the guy's body. She threw the head toward the other side.
She stopped at a normal-looking apartment just to the side of Hell's Kitchen. She was about to enter, but a guy in red spandex immediately came down and carried her away. Anna was a little miffed, but she allowed the guy to carry her anyway. She put her down at a rooftop a block away.
"Do you know what you are doing, Kid? That place is dangerous," a silly guy in red spandex, a vigilante called Daredevil, said to her. He was one of the many vigilantes of New York, along with the likes of Ghost Rider and Punisher.
"Of course, I know what I am doing, I am going to take over Hell's Kitchen for myself," Anna explained herself. Daredevil sighed in exasperation.
"Would I be correct to assume that you are a cape?" he asked. He seemed somewhat distressed, looking at her face.
"No, I have powers, but I am not a parahuman," Anna replied. Daredevil raised an eyebrow, yes, his mask was covering his face, but she just knew he raised his eyebrow. Daredevil was surprised but not so much as there are many with powers but wasn't Parahumans. Like Hulks and Captain America.
"Look, I know you have powers, and you have confidence, but you should not be so careless…." Daredevil started to lecture this young and inexperienced little girl about the danger of New York, however, he noticed the girl wasn't there anymore, and the building she was about to go in was on fire.
"Fuck, these idiots with too many powers and little senses," He muttered under his breath. However, he noted himself to call for a meeting with other vigilantes. From what he has seen so far, this girl wasn't simple, and he doubted this matter would end here.
