Durable Empowered Series

“Keith and I watched in awe and joy as the inexplicable happened. Nikki was alive! My mate was back! Then suddenly, those brown eyes I loved so much started morphing. Her right eye lightened and became as golden as mine after I shifted into my wolf. While her left eye deepened and became black before turning blood red like Keith’s right before he feeds. It was unfeasible but there she laid a vampire-werewolf hybrid.” Nicolette Winspere always felt out of step with the world around her and for good reasons. She is a genetically engineered vampire-werewolf hybrid but she has no idea! Created as the ultimate weapon, Nicolette is a timid African American woman caught in the middle of a deadly war between humans and non-humans. The humans want her to destroy their natural enemies the vampires and werewolves; while her creator wants to use her to avenge an over 2 millennia-year old slight. After narrowly escaping the clutches of her “parents”, she begins a new life with no intentions of looking back. However, after 5 years of freedom, her hybrid genes start attacking her human ones forcing her to do the one thing she swore never to do…return to where it all began. Upon her arrival home, Nicolette finds herself in a desperate fight to keep her life, her freedom, and her humanity all while dealing with the unexpected re-appearance of an old flame. Truths will come to light, the inexplicable will happen, and monsters will be birthed!

Unexpected Pop Up

15,000 feet in the Air

It seems like I had blinked and another 5 years had passed by. Here I was, back in Boston. Unlike the first time though, I wasn't nursing a broken heart. There were no unfulfilled promises and my trust in the people that were most important in my life had not just be shattered into tiny pieces.

This time, I had been summoned by the supernatural High Council. Apparently P.O.A.H was making big moves and they wanted everyone involved to be here. This way once decisions were made, they could be executed quickly.

I didn't mind being dragged here because it gave me the chance to throw a party for my mother's 800th birthday which was coming up soon.

She needed to be reminded just how important, and loved, she was; even though she hadn't thought so since that man.

We were descending from the clouds when I glimpsed an Amtrak train moving out of South Station. I couldn't help the smile that stretched across my face at the image of the spunky little black girl I had met the last time I was here. I wonder how she had fared. I had told her to keep in touch.

The little minx! She had probably, purposefully, lost my number despite the help I had given her. Come to think of it, I never did get the results from her blood test. I sent a message to my new personal assistant, Omelio. I wanted those results on my desk as soon as I returned to Texas. I think it was time I dropped in on my little one and see how she has been doing.

Did anyone else catch the assistansts name?! Things are heating up boy. BTW the finished version of this book is available on Amazon.
