In a world where wars are endless, an insane genius created a game with the fate of the whole world on the line. Joshua, a hardcore game junkie, accepted the challenge in order to clear the game. However, the game itself isn't as simple as it seems.
Time has passed and technology has advanced.
However, there are things that even time cannot change. An example of that is Human Nature.
Well… Some may not agree. However, you cannot deny this truth.
Wars didn't vanish even though they know that it will lead to more destruction.
Resources started to dwindle to critical levels.
Even the Earth's temperature rose to extreme levels due to global warming.
Various methods were tried to prevent these problems, but all led to nothing.
However, one day, a man said: "I will solve the problems we are facing. I will unite the world into one."
He declared it at one of his press conferences, a conference held on a global scale.
It was the press conference of the very first VRMMORPG. A game all gamers around the globe were waiting for.
Even though wars are ongoing, it's not like everyone was affected. Of course, there are still those that spend their days playing games.
The man was the head of the company that built both the software and hardware. A forerunner within the industry.
His conference was being streamed live on all online streaming channels, on all TV stations, and on all Radio stations around the globe.
Nobody even guessed that his conference will be the largest terrorist proclamation of the century.
"I made a game where the life of the Earth and all living things are on the line."
That was how he phrased his introductions. Everyone thought that he was talking about the backstory of his game. Not many have guessed what he really meant.
"After 4 years, I finished this masterpiece. Within 4 more years, everything ends."
However, as his speech went on, many of those watching started feeling doubt. Is he really talking about the game? And, at the end of his conference, he said:
"The stage is set. The actors are ready. Let's start the game to find the truth!"
An hour after his conference ended, the game officially launched its servers.
The game was entitled, World Explosion Online. A Fantasy VRMMORPG.
And… At the same time…
The said man's whereabouts went unknown.
