Dragon Heart System, The Astral Dragon King

Simon walked in silence into his crumbled room in despair, the scent of blood still burns in his nose, What he saw was so horrendous he unconsciously shut it out. He didn't want to remember, think or walk to what he has just seen! Everyone in the village was dead, each time he tries to remember he started throwing up.

Why...Why...Why...he fell asleep from exhaustion, deep in his heart he wished that he will never wake up!

"Simon, Listen to me Kid... Look at me!!!!!!" Simon opened his eyes, he was sitting on still water with the night sky above him filled with glowing stars. It's beautiful Simon thought.

"I said Listen, Kid!!!" The deep voice screamed from behind him, In a surprise, Simon turned around, what he saw was shocking.

A titanic dragon was laying down behind him, black scales and sharp claws, the heat radiating from him was overbearing at the start, even the dragon's red-glowing eyes were bigger than Simon's whole body.

This was a strange feeling but Simon felt relieved as if he was looking at a close relative that he hadn't seen in years.

"What are you, is this a dream, or I'm dead?" Simon asked.

"I don't have much time left!" The dragon said in a sad voice.

"Heh?" Simon was surprised. what is this dragon talking about?

"Simon!!! You have to get stronger!" The dragon shouted, with that the world around them started to Crumble. Simon felt an insane headache.

"I will have you be the heir, remember that you must release them!!" The dragon screamed as a beam of light engulfed Simon.

"Your human brain can't comprehend all the memories so you must get stronger! Their feeling will definitely guide you!" The dragon roared.

"GrwaAAAaa! What is thisssssssssssss!" Simon screamed in pain.

"Always look at the stars, For I am the Astral dragon king and you're my heir!" The dragon breathed his last breath and Simon woke up sweating, his whole body shaking.

Pip, A window appeared in front of him with multiple tabs, it looked like something out of a game rather than real life. Feeling depressed the only thing he managed to do was read it without even moving

Simon looked at the screen for more than a minute, he didn't know what to do but imagine. What if this wasn't a dream. It was them when it finally reached him, the realization he isn't dreaming, this was reality. Simin stood up instantly, "I never heard of an Esper who has status!"

Just by thinking he was able to switch tabs, Controlling the menu wasn't going to get easier than this, the second tab was the skills tab.

Wow, I have a skill, I wonder what it does... As he thought of that the skill description appeared.

[Dragon heart, Although being a human you have a dragon heart. Dragon heart is extremely strong, It pumps both blood and mana, empowering both the mind and body. By having this heart you get a +1 to all stats, this increase does not affect HP, MP, or SP, It only affects Body, Magic, and Soul!]

I don't seem to have any skill points though I wonder where do I get them, Simon stood thinking but the System didn't respond, for this, he made a theory, the system will give a description once he unlocks something! I might need to get a skill point first before!

Heck Yeah! This is what I was waiting for!!!! Just by thinking, the starter back was opened from it some equipment came out.

[Minor healing potion]+5 heal for 5 points of health

[Minor stamina potion]+5 regenerate 5 points of stamina

[Clothe cloak]+1 Useful against environment effect (Rain, heat, sandstorms...)

Seeing this Simon didn't waste any time, all he needed is to think about it and he equipped the Items, feeling the armor around his body, the sword on his waist, the cloak hanging on his shoulders. The feeling of power surged through his body.

Simon didn't even finish reading the tab, he stopped at the main quest as it felt like a slap in the face. What has he been happy about? The reality didn't change... What happened to his Village is a truth he must accept... Bury 10 Dead bodies... Just thinking about has made him throw up... Deep down he knew whose 10 bodies the system meant... It's not just any dead bodies, It's the dead bodies of the people he feared losing the most... His relative's bodies, his family.

"This thing!" Simon growled in anger... His parents are two, his three sisters make it five, his grandparents make it nine... He then thought who is the tenth? Hold up, am I wrong? At that moment with a headache, he remembered a sentence... you're my heir...

"For am I the Astral dragon king!" Simon repeated, remembering the dragon dying in his dream... That made him realize... This has made him calm down.

"I can't blame you if you included yourself too, You could have left a better explanation!" Simon said with a sad voice full of regret.

With that, Simon headed out to face reality, with tears in his eyes he buried his dead family one by one, With each shovel, his heart wound closed and his will got stronger. Finishing that he gave them the last prayer, "May you rest in peace!"
