Everything changed on Lux's sixteenth birthday. He didn't know if he was human anymore. He stopped aging. He didn't require food and water to sustain himself anymore. He became detached from his friends. But, once again everything changed when he came across a towering pillar whose upper end couldn't be seen. He realised that he was in the dragon ball world. He embarked on a path, unique to his own. Follow Lux in his adventure~ ______________________________________________ 'Lux' in india, is a underwear brand. I used the the name as a pun, just like 'Bulma' came from the word 'bloomer' in Japanese pronunciation.

"Why do you desire power?" A hoarse, male voice came from behind. Lux turned around and saw a fat, white cat, standing on its two hind legs like a human being.
"To protect me in this troubled world," Lux looked up at the concave ceiling, pondering. "And, maybe find out why I am in this world."
"Kid, are you alright?" the cat asked, concerned. The boy, who looked no more than 16 years old, appeared to be going through an existential crisis.
"Despite my young appearance, I am very old, you know," Lux retorted, but with a polite, unhurried voice. "Probably a hundred year or so, I forgot."
Lux's voice dimmed at the end, with a trace of melancholy.
The cat stared intently at the boy for a moment, before his dull expression changed to a shocked one.
"What happened? Why do you appear so shocked?" Lux asked, puzzled by the cat's sudden change.
"You...?" The cat asked, with a trace of vigilance. "You are already so powerful. Why did you come here for?"
'Oh, he probably sensed my ki,' Lux realised, why the cat appeared to be so shocked. Lux found it natural. Because of Lux's near-perfect control over his power, it was very difficult for others to sense his ki unless they paid close attention.
Lux turned and slowly walked to the balcony, with the cat walking right behind him.
"Well, you see, I am tired and old," Lux said, looking at the setting sun. His voice was laced with melancholy and sadness. "My parents died, my friends, they grew old, and here I am. No blemishes, no wrinkles, not even a trace of ageing."
"I am not even sure if I am a human anymore."
Lux paused and looked at the cat beside him, who had returned to his relaxed, dull self.
"Would you mind, if I stay here," Lux made a sudden request, for which the cat wasn't prepared for? "It's very quiet and peaceful."
"Okay, you can stay," the cat agreed after thinking for a moment. "But I don't have any food for you to eat here."
"No problem," Lux's voice, again dimmed. "I don't require food to survive anyway."
The cat was again caught off guard by Lux's words. It wasn't because of the fact Lux didn't need food. The cat, himself being from the otherworld, didn't require food to sustain himself. But, the one in front was a living person.
"Really?" asked the cat, doubtful.
"Hmm," Lux appeared thoughtful as if he was recalling something. "It was my sixteenth birthday. I stopped having the urge to eat after that. It wasn't that I couldn't eat, but I didn't need to. I could still enjoy the taste but the sense of fulfilment after eating a hearty meal had vanished from my grasp."
After hearing what Lux said, the cat suddenly chuckled as if he remembered something useful.
"I'll be right back," the cat said and went back inside. After few moments, he came back with a pot, full of green beans, in his hands. He handed one of the beans from the pot to Lux.
"Try it," the cat said. "It may work for you."
'What it is called again, urgh, if I knew that I was in the dragon ball world earlier, I would have written all the things I knew.' Lux was racking his brain while studying the bean in his hand.
Seeing the boy's hesitation, the cat said, "It's a senzu bean. It'll keep an adult human full for at least 10 days. It may work for you."
'Ah, yes! Senzu bean!' he recalled. 'It is supposed to cure any injuries.'
"What happened? Try it," the cat's voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Oh, okay," he threw the bean into his mouth and started chewing. He wasn't very optimistic about it though.
Crunch!
'Mmm, crispy, and a little bit salty,' he enjoyed the taste before gulping it down.
"How is it? How do you feel?" The cat asked, with great curiosity.
"You probably misunderstood my condition," Lux sighed and explained, "I don't feel hunger at all. No matter what I eat, it won't satisfy my 'non-existent' hunger–"
He paused and contemplated for a moment and then continued, "It's like, if you can't feel sad at all, you cannot enjoy the happiness that you have."
There was a sudden awkward silence. The cat didn't know how to comfort the boy in front.
"Forget about the sad things," Lux's said to the cat, but it like he was reprimanding himself.
"Ah, My name is Lux Cozi, by the way." He introduced.
"I am Korin." The cat said, just like a proud grandfather, talking about his feats. "You probably heard of me. I am known by the title 'God of martial arts' or 'Immortal korin' in the mortal world."
...
"Mister Korin, you are too trusting, are you not?" Lux suddenly asked. "What if I was a bad guy? What if I wanted to deceive you, or something?"
"Did you?"
"No, but–,"
"You are very powerful. You don't need to deceive me," said Korin.
"Yeah, you are right." Lux realized. "Haha, I forgot I was very strong,"
Lux laughed and scratch the back of his head, embarrassed by his stupidity.
He couldn't be blamed. The power he currently possessed was not obtained through training, but it increased with his age without any training.
His sixteenth birthday didn't only bring change to his hunger but also his power.
His power started increasing from then onwards, and it was still increasing. The growth was not a simple growth of quantity, but, with quantity came optimisation.
And, his control over his body and energy also grew with his power. Even his instincts were getting honed continuously without doing anything.
Lux didn't know how it happened, or what his limits were, as his power never stopped growing. He could only say that he was lucky enough, as his control over his power increased with the increase in power. It never decreased, otherwise he might've gone crazy.
Indeed, if not for his overall improvement, he might've become like a certain crazy, green-haired Saiyan, who possessed a tremendous amount of power but with poor control over it.
