Once the zombies were dead in piles of green mush, the Black Pawns turned around and gave a slight bow before running off to find new opponents.
''What strange creatures.''
Caterpillar Samuel floated down, the large wing behind his back flashing and the horn glowed and fired a small beam dividing up one of the corpses.
However the interior of the body was surprisingly intact for a corpse! Rather than the decaying body that he expected Caterpillar Samuel saw that there was a faint green light flowing through the veins keeping it intact.
But as the body was killed the green light slowly dispersed into the air and evaporated into nothingness.
''Lets go and meet an old friend!''
Caterpillar Samuel led the army forward, whenever he met a group of zombies they would be quickly wiped out. Then the Black Pawns would sprint at full speed towards the same location.
Slowly the density of Zombies was increasing, from small groups of ten to massive groups of one or two hundred Zombies!
And finally, the main battlefield appeared in front of the army.
It was like a sea of colours, one black one green clashing against each other. There were easily 100,000 Black pawns smashing against the hundreds of thousands of Zombies.
Luckily the most difficult part of Zombies, the infections, weren't able to affect the Marble Pawns. But their large strength was still knocking out the weaker pawns.
In the sky, Caterpillar Samuel saw as three black knights clashed against three zombies, a strange green and rotting bat, a slightly deformed and twisted old man with decaying skin and a floating red lion that was mixed with green.
''It seems like Nigel really is the son of luck! What chances has he received to develop his forces to this point?''
In the distance, Caterpillar Samuel watched the swarms of Pawns and sighed. The number of Pawns outweighed his drastically and the top combat power was incomparable.
Clearly he had received something that developed his Spiritual Energy, enough to awaken far more than what he has awoken.
''I see you found this as well? What a coincidence.''
Suddenly a calm voice appeared behind Caterpillar Samuel.
He turned slowly only to see a now more mature Nigel floating in the air. After years of baptism from fighting he has turned from the original naive boy to a bloodthirsty general.
More importantly his own strength increased to Low Rank 3!
Caterpillar Samuel saw a faint cyan light glowing in his eyes as Nigel scanned his body.
But soon it disappeared and was replaced with a smile.
''You haven't developed as quickly as I would've thought. I'm disappointed.'' Nigel looked slightly mocking, as if uncaring that his forces below were being decimated.
In fact he had always felt a bit incomparable, Caterpillar Samuel somehow crushed him in the thousand year war that they participated in.
Of course what Nigel doesn't know was that Caterpillar Samuel had hundreds of researchers and many books supporting him to figure out every plan to attack.
But now he saw that he developed quicker than his long term opponent, much to the help of his ability to see the value of treasures.
''My old friend, it seems like you aren't in a good spot here. There are more Zombies than you can deal with.'' Caterpillar Samuel took a quick glance.
Although the Pawns were killing many zombies, the numbers couldn't compare.
''Well this is just a fraction of what is included in our Pavilions, you should know that. Maybe I lose against these zombies right now, but It will only take me some time to develop.''
The confidence on Nigel's face covered up a faint pain when he watched the troops that took many years to develop die.
But he didn't want to show weakness in front of his arch enemy, especially since he was actually confident to rejuvenate his forces with his Gold Finger.
However his faint distress didn't avoid CaterPillar Samuels eyes. However he definitely wasn't in the mood to make fun of him.
Looking at the swarms of Zombies and the slowly decreasing Black Pawns, Samuel couldn't help but look stern.
The direction they were heading would eventually reach CaterPillar Isles if they were allowed to continue.
But Caterpillar Samuel also had a bit of greed looking at the mountain of corpses, these bodies are mostly intact with an exception with the skin. There are still many valuable resources within it.
He guessed that if the corpses of all the zombies here were sold it would be easy to get 50,000 Spiritual Crystals!
And this is the premise that they are severely decayed! And that's only the beasts below Rank 2!
For the Rank 3 beasts there are 2 Zombified creatures that could easily sell for 2-3,000 depending on their quality!
''How about this, we split the beast corpses and I send my Soldiers to support you? Even you can't waste your time so casually recreating your forces.''
CaterPillar Samuel held a faint smile.
''Huh, you're crazy! Even if our forces are the same in number even you can tell the quality is far different.''
Nigel was outraged when he heard it.
He had invested a lot of time and spiritual crystals to slowly unlock a lot of high end combat power, just the Rank 2 Pawns he has reached over 1,000.
But now Caterpillar Samuel with far less wants to step in and split half the resources??
''Well if I don't help then you won't get anything. Your forces will be killed and I will just leave.''
Caterpillar Samuel held a confident look, and as expected after a few minutes of hesitation and watching his soldiers dying, Nigel finally gritted his teeth and nodded.
''60/40 I get 60 you get 40.''
''Deal!''
WIth the deal done the White Pawns joined the battlefield. With the doubling of numbers, even with the lower quality the battle changed quickly.
The weaker White Pawns took on the many weaker zombies, freeing the stronger Black Pawns to fight people their level.
Caterpillar Samuel floated off into the air slightly and the White Marble Knight below him joined the frey in the air. The battle quickly changed from a 3v3 to a 4v3.
With the addition of the white pawns the battle changed quickly. Even with the swarms of Zombies, their quality is weaker than the Marble Puppets.
Slowly but surely the number of Zombies began to decline. From the endless sea to a small swarm now threatening the Pawns.
And less than half a day later, they were all dead.
