Of course the man is selfish. In fact the only reason he is willing to succumb to Leslie is the helplessness of his weakness. But also because it shows the future chance that he can progress!
He already has a plan. He wants to implant his soul into the body of one of Leslies Children. Originally he was going to do it to her current Son, but the son only has a Three Inch spiritual Root.
He doesn't want to settle with that, instead he wants to wait until Leslie has a more talented Child. At least someone blessed with Luck, then he will occupy the body and compete for the Heir Position!
He doesn't have any foundation anymore after his family was destroyed. So now he can only rely on the Lanford Family to be his starting point.
And he isn't against helping it develop and then leading it.
So he willingly took out the location of the Tomb that he didn't even tell to Dominick when he found the ring!
Leslie was unaware of this. She was slowly watching her Warriors destroy the puppets.
When possible she tried to leave them with a complete body. If she can learn how or pay A5 to repair them then they can become a good fighting force.
Leslie slowly watched the puppets die, excitement began growing in her eyes.
''Madame, they are all dead.''
All of the Dogs of War called Samuels concubines Madame under Samuels recent instruction.
Leslie heard the address and smirked slightly. Then she returned to the key point. All the puppets were destroyed.
''How many are still in useable condition?''
Leslie asked the warrior.
''Madame only 100 are still usable.''
Leslie heard the number and sighed. It's really quite small.
But it is to be expected. Puppets are inherently difficult to capture as they won't give up on their mission until the Array holding them together is broken.
''Let's go.''
After loading the incapactiated puppets into Space Backpacks, Leslie starts moving forward under the protection of a dozen guards.
When they entered the large mausoleum, Leslie was surprised by the lavish designs.
There were beautiful vases filled with countless beautiful plants and flowers.
Leslie took a deep breath through her cute nose, her eyes widening as she smelt the deep fragrance.
''Ah so you noticed? That's right these flowers are able to calm the mind to prepare yourself to practice.''
The old man chuckled slightly when he saw Leslies reaction.
However Leslie wasn't listening. Her mind felt completely empty right now with no outside thoughts interfering.
Slowly she began absorbing more and more, and she actually broke through to High Rank 1!
''Wow, amazing! Take these flowers.''
Leslie sighed aloud and her eyes lit up with greed when she saw the array of plants around the hallway.
As for the Old man's feelings she didn't take it into account. Of course the Old Man turned a Blind Eye to this. Familial affection isn't deep when it comes to warriors.
In the Old Man's opinion these flowers will just assist him when he occupies a child's body.
Even if the walls of the mausoleum are torn down he wouldn't bat an eye.
In fact Leslie really had that thought,in the end she settled with stealing the valuable is the pathway.
This mausoleum is the combination of all of the Rank 3 Warrior weath. Along the side Leslie found many cabinets containing exquisite jewellery.
Leslie held up a shining diamond necklace in her hands and chucked haphazardly into the backpack that she held.
Although these gems look precious, in reality they are just mortal objects. However no one would look down on free stuff right?
As Leslie continued on, the Mausoleum got more and more homey.
Leslie saw pictures of an old man sitting casually with a fishing rod. Around him were hundreds of children practising martial arts.
''Was this your Son?'' Leslie asked curiously. Her eyes were slightly surprised by the amount of children around him.
''Ah yes that's him.'' The old man looked slightly sentimental. But returned to normal quickly.
''He was a smart one, definitely. When he realised his future was limited he made it his mission to have a child who could outdo him. Even those Mortal Children were forced to practise Martial Arts''
Leslie listened intently, and then checked the picture once again. Sure enough some carried extremely heavy weights while others weren't.
''What an interesting man.''
Leslie sighed. Normally Mortals would be forced to practise things to mix in the Mortal world such as managing businesses, running farms or becoming an academic and taking a Mortal role in the Governments.
But the Old Man's son actually forced them all to practise Martial Arts.
This is definitely unheard of for most Warriors. After all, even if their children practise for their entire life without the base bloodline it is nearly impossible to even reach close to a Rank 1 Warrior.
''Well he was also a fool.'' The old man sighed slightly.
''None of those Mortal Children appreciated it. Yes they far outdid the other Mortals, but they definitely couldn't surpass their Rank 3 Parents.''
Leslie listened and asked curiously.
''Did anyone ever outdo their dad?''
''Of course! But that wasn't because of his training plan. One of his sons was also born with a Three Inch Spiritual Root and outdid their father.''
As they were talking, Leslie no longer stayed looking at the pictures. Although it was interesting, these people were long since dead, how could they compare to the treasures?
Finally they seemed to appear at the centre. Unlike a typical tomb, Leslie saw that it was designed very similar to an ordinary bedroom.
A beautiful bed was placed at the centre and the walls were lined with thousands of books.
However Leslie didn't look at anything else. Instead she stared at the bed. Because under the covers a slightly golden set of bones were placed gently under a red duvet.
Leslie didn't speak. Instead the Old Man took the initiative to float over and gently place his hand on the body.
''Wait what are you doing?''
Just as Leslie thought it might be a slight calming and loving moment, the corpse suddenly started to disappear.
The bones vanished turning into dust as they floated into the air.
Leslie noticed that there was a slight golden light that was separated from the grey ashes.
While the Grey ash dispersed the golden light condensed, forming a small golden orb before bursting with a flash of light.
Leslie hurriedly covered her eyes. When she finally lowered her arms she saw a small golden apple floating in the air.
Its size was small like a plum but it exuded a bright golden light into the air.
