He looked at more pills, and as expected the price was much higher. On average it was 20-30 Spiritual Crystals for one or two pills. And these were just the ones with side effects.
Not as extreme as the Septin Pills, but there was loss of lifespan, limited potential and some had a bit of weakened strength.
However surprisingly Samuel did find sections that had no side effects, each pill sold for one or two hundred Spiritual Crystals!
But for such a price some had effects even better than Spiritual Fruits, or had absolutely no impurities.
Samuel turned a blind eye to this. He would only be able to promote one or two Dogs of War if he spent money on these pills.
In the end Samuel turned to the guard.
''Take me to the puppets.''
Soon Samuel arrived at the Puppet market. Unlike the Spiritual Pill area, the products weren't all on display.
Instead there were different puppets placed on pedestals with signs explaining them. Samuel skimmed his eyes across the products.
A5 produces puppets, and has already managed to create large stone Low Rank 1 Puppets.
But here the lowest quality puppets were humanoid Mortal level puppets. There were also many wooden Low Rank 1 Puppets.
However Samuels eyes focused on the largest display. It was a colossal puppet, easily hundreds of feet tall.
'Rank 6 Puppet, produced with the corpse of a dead Witch Warrior.'
''Rank 6 Puppet? Insane!'' Samuel was amazed, Rank 6 puppets were put up on display.
''But why isn't there any price?'' Samuel muttered.
''Because they don't normally accept Spiritual Crystals. To trade for such powerful Puppets you have to spend a lot of money.''
Samuel took his eyes off the large puppet. It was beyond what he could touch.
Instead he looked at Rank 1 Puppets. However he was disappointed.
Low Rank 1 Puppets cost 100 Spiritual Crystals each! Samuel could get 100 Dogs of War for that!
But Mortal puppets were cheap. They have no intelligence but they have the strength of a bodybuilder.
For just a single spiritual Crystal, you could buy some basic Mortals. In the end Samuel bought 5,000 Mortal puppets, leaving him with only 10,000 Spiritual Crystals.
Of the 10,000 he split off 1,000 to summon Dogs of War that will use the Septin Pills, as for the remaining 9,000. He really didn't know what he was going to do with it.
But as he had left the large shop and was walking back towards the portal, he noticed a small store with a puppet in the window.
He entered and saw a similar design to the large Rake Family Pavilion. But the difference is, the quality here was really pathetic in comparison.
There were crappily built wooden puppets, even worse than A5s production. But Samuel felt a strong aura coming out from under a black blanket.
''Hello sir, welcome to the store. Did anything catch your eye?'' Samuel heard a young voice, and saw a young teenager standing behind the counter.
But Samuel didn't even look at the beautiful girl behind the counter. Instead he walked towards the black cloth.
'Rank 3 Warlock Puppet. Cost: 5,000 Spiritual Crystals'
''Only 5,000 Spiritual Crystals?'' Samuel was amazed. He hadn't seen such a cheap Rank 3 Puppet before. But quickly he understood.
His hand reached out and grasped the cloth and pulled it down. What it revealed was the top half of a wooden puppet.
''Is it actually missing its top half? No wonder it's so cheap!'' Such a puppet is pretty much useless.
Not to mention that it is only a wooden puppet, but it can't walk! Although Rank 3 Warriors can fly, puppets can't without the supporting formations.
Such a puppet would become an inconvenience on a fast moving battlefield. But Samuel was interested in the puppet, mainly because it can protect the newly captured Lestan plane.
You might think hes stupid for not protecting the BlueStar Plane, but that already has the High Rank 2 Tree protecting it. If a Rank 3 Warrior comes, this half hearted Low Rank 3 Puppet won't be able to defeat them anyway.
''I want this.'' Samuel pointed towards the puppet. Finally acknowledging the girl who was anxiously standing behind the counter.
''You do? Alright! 5,000 Spiritual Crystals.'' She spoke quickly, as if afraid Samuel would renege on the deal.
Samuel happily collected the immobile puppet into his Spiritual Ring and left.
As he walked out the door, the girl picked up the bag of Spiritual Crystals and ran to the second floor of the shop.
''Brother we sold it! That dam puppet finally sold!'' She barged open a door, revealing a large workshop with a teenage boy crouched over various machines.
''Really?'' The boy turned around in surprise when he heard it, dropping the pieces of the puppet in his hand.
''Yep some man just came in and bought it!'' The beautiful girl replied quickly, her eyes faintly welling up in tears.
''Brother aren't we almost there?''
''Almost.''
Meanwhile Samuel had returned to the large portal room. The way to return is relatively simple, you simply step on the portal and it will detect your previous travel location.
Soon Samuel and his Eternal Guards reappeared in the study. The large portal on the floor floated up as it once again formed a scroll and fell lightly in Samuels hand.
Samuel grasped it tightly. This was definitely a godsend. Such a rich place like Alchemy city can be accessed so easily.
At the same time, Samuel understood why Daniel was so poor. Unfortunately Daniel decided to spend his money on himself rather than his warriors.
After returning, Samuel put some plans into action before he left Lestan Plane. He used the remaining 5,000 Spiritual Crystals to double the number of Dogs of War on this plane.
Then he picked out the 1,000 least likely to break through to Middle Rank 1 on their own and gave them a vial between 2.
As for the remaining 4,000 it would be up to them to break through.
