The Motherland: Russia

As the teleportation circle deactivated, Dominque, Chess, and I found ourselves in another room very similar in design to the one back at Blackspire, however it is much smaller.

We are also not alone.

Standing in front of us are several people, and at the head of the group is a man.

He looks to be in his thirties. He has short blond-hair and really darkk skin. His attire consists fo a black suit and a long beige overcoat.

The man's name is Urd Geales.

His is the other second progenitor within the faction, and the one in charge of our faction bases all throughout Russia.

Which is where we currently are.

I chose this as are our first stop because out of all the countries in the world, only two are not claimed under one single supernatural faction. Those countries being the United States and Russia.

Russia because it is just too big for any one supernatural faction to properly manage, and the United States because it is too new and has a mix of cultures from all across the world, meaning it doesn't give any one faction power over another.

And since I lived in the United States in my previous life starting there would have been boring. This is a world sightseeing tour as much as it is a training journey.

Two birds, one stone.

The three of us walked up to Urd and slightly bowed.

"Lord Geales, a pleasure to see you again." I said.

"Yes, thank you for hosting us." Dominque added.

"We are humbly grateful." Chess stated.

All three of us then raised our heads.

"No, no think nothing of it." Urd said. "It is my pleasure to help out the younger generation. After all if I know that young people like you are growing, then it brings me peace of mind for the future." He mused, talking like an old man.

But he is as old as my mother so I'm not surprised in the slightest.

After introductions were out of the way Urd and his subordinates led us out of the room. He then directed us to our rooms for the duration of our stay.

While I got my own room, Chess and Dominque are bunking together.

Their request, not mine.

They really have become close over the years.

Once we three had put our luggage away we followed Urd and he showed us around the base.

It is the main base of our faction in Russia located in Omsk, Russia.

We can't very well situate our base in Moscow or St. Petersburg after all. The regions between those two cities are firmly in the hands of the Russian Orthodox Church, and as you know if you are not human or an angel, then the church sees you as nothing but bugs to be exterminated.

Which really speaks to their hypocrisy.

Most of the world's throughout human history were usually caused by the church. Let's not even talk about how they personify and isolate saints like Asia, or the Holy Sword Project. At least with other supernatural factions we own up to the fact that we're deep into sin and debauchery.

But the church, no sire. They always try and take the high word.

Bunch of fucking liers and psychophants.

Actually not all of them. Most of them, but not all of them.

Anyway, after Urd finished showing us the base we decided to explore on our own.

Then before we knew it it was time to turn in for the night. Which is exactly what we did.

It's not like we're in a rush after all.

No, we have time to take things slow and steady.

(3rd Person: POV)

As the moon rose in the sky, and the icy wilds of Russia descended into the night in an isolated part of a forest, blood flew through the air.

"Agh!" A man screamed.

He then fell to the ground as blood start to leak from the massive wound on his throat.

His clothes identifying him as a man of the cloth.

As his two companions saw their friend lying in the snow, turning it scarlet with his blood, they tried to help him.

Only they could not.

For they were engaged in battle with the same foe that had just taken a bite out of their companion.

"Stay back." The male shouted. He then pulled out a gun and started firing directly in front of him.

But he never managed to his his guard.

The figure covered by shadows simply dodged the man's shots and closed the distance. Theen blood flew from the man's chest as slash marks suddenly appeared on it.

He too then fell into the snow, turning it scarlet.

Leaving only one left.

A woman.

She backed up against a tree, terror evident on her face. Sinking to her knees, her entire body continued to shake as the mysterious attacker started coming closer and closer to her.

She could hear their footsteps as they moved through the snow.

"No, stay back!" The woman cried. "Don't come any closer. Please, spare me!" The woman shouted.

But the attacker paid her no mind.

They simply closed the distance. Then a moment after they did a woman's cries echoed into the night.

"Aghhh!"

When they finally stopped, the woman had a giant hole in her gut.

Thus all three companions were dead.

And they are also exorcists of the church.

Killed by just one unknown assailant.

An assailant who slinked off into the frigid night as soon as their kills were completed. The only trace of them being their foot imprints in the snow.

But even that was fading as the cold winds covered them up.

Allowing the assailant to vanish without a trace.

(MC: POV)

Two weeks passed in the blink of an eye.

During that time I took both Dominque and Chess out on dates around Omsk.

They are my women after all.

And even if we aren't doing ecchi stuff yet I am still going to treat them right. It's only natural for a gentleman after all.

This is also my payment for when I completely ravish their bodies in a few years, turning them into balls of lust that won't be able to go an entire day without begging me to do it with them.

Ah, I can't wait.

Moving on, things were pretty quiet.

Then all of a sudden they weren't.

I was coming back from a movie date with Dominque when all of a sudden I saw a messenger rushing towards Urd's office, a grave expression on their face.

I looked at Dominque who saw it as well. "Let's check it out."

"Mhm." Dominque mused.

The two of us then followed the messenger straight to Urd's office. When he saw us he motioned for us to come in.

"Sir, I don't think-" The messenger began. But Urd instantly held up his hand to silence him.

"I understand your apprehension. But this young man is Kufa Vampir, the child of our leader and quite possibly our next first progenitor. He is capable and smart, and so his his young attendant, so whatever you have to say you can say it in front of them." Urd explained.

"Yes sir." The messenger mused. "We just received a report, the bodies of three exorcists have been found near our territory."

'That's definitely not good.' I thought. This might force us into a war with the church, and on one wants that.

Well, no one in my faction at least.

I can't say the same about those pedo priests of the church faction though.

Urd clenched his fists as the messenger spoke. "Continue." He spoke.

"From the state of the bodies we determined they were killed earlier this week." The messenger explained. "Not only that, but we also learned that several other incidents of the same nature have been taking place in the past few months. Exorcist getting killed in the exact same manners as the ones we found. It started near St. Petersburg and has since been moving east, right towards us here in Omsk." The messenger explained.

'And the hits just keep on coming.' I thought.

If the killer of these exorcists is moving towards Omsk, then people will assume our faction had something to do with it. Which will again lead us towards war.

Political situations really are dog shit.

"Is there anything else?" Urd asked the messenger.

"No sir." The messenger replied.

"Thank you. You may take your leave." Urd said.

That's when the messenger slightly bowed before leaving the room, closing the door behind him.

Right after he did Urd leaned back in his chair and sighed, rubbing his temple as well.

"Urd, allow us to assist you in this matter?" I asked him.

I don't want a war on my hands after all.

"Thank you. It's much appreciated." He said.

"No, it's no trouble at all Lord Urd." Dominique said.

"She's right." I said. "Stop worrying so much." I told him.

Once I did we took our leaves.

We then went off to find Chess.

We have a killer to hunt down after all.
