Spirit of a demon

While Jericho sleeps, the demon quickly familiarizes itself with it's new vessel. demons can move away from their corpse after death but will stay as a weak spirit without flesh. and in it's escape found the house with two strong mana signatures. the stronger the body and mana veins, the more mana one can store at a time. this is used as a measure of strength commonly. while the mana used is the mana all around, the magic users mana is the spark which activates the ambient mana. the mana of both Jericho's parents made a pretty big spark when it retaliated against the demon, though the demon's mana won out. This demon was obviously very strong for its weakened spirit to win out against two trained warriors.

while recovering in the sleeping child, it quickly discovered its own mana weaving together with the childs. Though this is nothing surprising to the demon because when it chose to inhabit the childs body, it knew what doing so would cost. By integrating with the childs body, it chose to become intwined with the child. It chose to from now on, live through Jericho, so now Jericho's body was officially her body as well. Quickly Jericho's body changes, if only slightly. she sprouts horns that curve around her head like a crown that ends in two points on her forehead pointing forward.

the demon thinks,

"It's not my old body, but it will become close enough"

Jericho's body slowly changes due to the influence of the demon but will take time for a great change to happen.

hours later, in the dawn of day, a ten year old child with red hair and emerald green eyes wakes up to a splitting headache and a deep dispare in her heart. she looks at her home and tears well up in her eyes.

Jericho is lost on what to do. She lives in the woods away from civilization in a relatively safe region, but she has no clue how to survive on her own. after some time, she gets up, sore in the neck, but thinks nothing of it, and walks to her chared ruins of a home. in the kitchen are two chared lumps thay used to be her parents. she stares at them, unable to even respond due to ths emotions running through her head, but is snapped out of it when she hears a voice.

<Do you hear me, child?> she hears as if someone is talking directly into her ear. the voice sounds as if its from a woman, confident and firm.

Jericho immediately looks around but finds nobody around her. she is confused until the voice speaks again,

<you cannot see me child, I am inside you> the demon tells her.

Jericho doesn't know what is going on but responded anyway "W-whats going on, who are you?" Jericho is scared due to the unknown, but is a bit numb due to her previous emotional blows.

<I am a demon> She hears. all of a sudden, memories of last night hit her, and she understands. No longer is she numb because all she felt after that was a burning rage.
