Princess Adelaide awoke in her chambers. She sat up in her bed. The morning light streamed in, forcing her body to come to life. She yawned and stretched. When she was done she noticed that Maureen was patiently waiting at the foot of her large canopy bed.
"Good morning, Your Royal Highness." She said as she bowed her head in reverence.
"Good morning," she answered back.
"Archbishop has wished to enter in your chamber. I told him to wait."
Princess Adelaide felt tired. She had just awakened and the news she was hearing at the moment didn't seem real. She couldn't recall how she got back in her bed last night, but none of that seemed to matter now. She was caught off guard and confused. This all seemed improper.
"Archbishop is waiting, Your Royal Highness."
"I-I I'm not dressed." She was flustered.
