Actions and consequences

I shook the daggers and proceeded to put them in their sheath, the eyes of the young angel were wide open and filled with terror but, at the same time, I saw some kind of impressed expression in them.

''W-Who... are you?'' She said.

''Is it even worth asking anymore?'' I said with a face full of regret, I scared the person that I got most attached to in my entire life until now.

''I knew you weren't human, but...''

''But..?''

''I didn't expect you to be so impressive.''

''Hah, you're flattering me.'' I said while making a nervous smile.

''Still... what exactly are you?''

''Unfortunately, I am not allowed to tell anyone. Anyway, it was nice to meet you, goodb-'' I didn't get to finish the sentence since she spoke over me.

''I want to thank you for saving me.''

''You want to thank someone after you see them killing three demons in less than 30 seconds?''

''Why wouldn't I? I just want to present you to someone.'' She said with a blushing face.

I became hesitant for a moment, but, then I realized that I had nothing to lose so I decided to consent to her wish.

''Alright, I'll see you again the next day at 08:00 in front of the statue we looked at today.''

''Be sure to arrive!'' She said while I vanished into the air and left no trace of me after I made sure that I got rid of the bodies that my victims left behind.

I went straight to the assassination division in the Kingdom of Demons since I had to deal with something. When I arrived, the superior who gave me the duty of assassinating the angel was waiting for me at the entrance of the secret institution with the elite team.

''You finally arrived, traitor.'' he said with an angered face

''Yeah, sure... just spare me of the small talk, let's get to the fight already, I am pretty sure you guys already know what is going to happen.''

''What?'' He said and started laughing

''Then please show us, haha!'' Said another assassin

''Alright, then, I shall show all of you today...''

''... how death looks like, be sure to remember.''

''H-huh?!''

The fight started. It would be too shameful of me to lie like that, it was a one-sided genocide.

In the exact moment, the rest of the members saw the higher-ups of the assassination division getting murdered, one by one. It didn't pass a lot of time until they started running away from me, but, unfortunately for them, I already decided to not let even one of them escape my punishment. I decided that after the job is done I will stop killing so easily, to change the world you have to change yourself first and then do so.

The process was done, I fulfilled my duty and I went to find shelter until tomorrow.

I went through the park and even though it was the middle of the night, I ran into the girl, she was with some people that looked like bodyguards, I chose to avoid questioning her why she is with those people.

''Lucky me!'' She said, I made a surprised face but she continues talking.

''What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?!''

''You know... I could ask you the same question." Her bodyguards gave me threatening glances but I acted like I didn't see them, I didn't have any reason to fear them after all.

''Oh! You're right, um...''

''It's ok, see you at the statue tomorrow morning.''

''Wait!'' She called me out but then blushed and made a face as if her brain stopped working for a moment, I wasn't able to understand why.

''What?'' I said after turning back at her.

''Do you have a place to sleep?''

''Hmm, I don't know yet.''

''You don't know..?''

''Um... did I say something I shouldn't have said?''

''A-Anyway! If you want, you can come to the hotel I am staying at, I'll pay for you as a token of gratitude.''

Is she a rich kid or what? That is what I thought inside my mind, still, I had to refuse the offer. But, before getting the chance to refuse her offer, she interrupted me.

''And we can leave as soon as the sun rises!''

''Huh? Where?''

''Ohh come on! Didn't I mention that I am going to present you to someone?''

''Present me to who?''

''You'll see.''

''A-Alright then, I guess there's no other choice.''

''You make it sound so weird!'' She said but then continued.

''Just come with me!''

I obeyed her order and followed her, before I knew it, I was in a room that was somehow acceptable, something that did not happen to me this far. I layed on the bed and shortly after, I fell asleep.

It was morning, the girl barged into my room and was trying to wake me up, and apparently it took her some time since just yesterday I fought more than 200 demons.

''Why did you wake up so late?''

''Huh? S-Sorry.'' I said with an embarrassed face.

''It's no time to be sorry! Get up from the bed so we can get going.''

''Alright.''

I went to the bathroom so that I can get a quick shower. After showering and getting dressed up, I got out of my room and saw her waiting for me in the main hall with a pouting face, while her bodyguards were also waiting.

''Let's get going.'' She said and I nodded in response.

''We are going to teleport, are you okay with that?''

''Princess, why are you asking for a demon's approval?!"

''Shut up.'' She said with an exigent look.

''He saved me, I see nothing wrong in asking for his approval.''

It took him a mimute to understand what she said and as soon as he realized he was embarrassed of what he said.

''I am very sorry!'' He said while bowing to me.

''Thanks for saving her, you have my respect!''

''It's no big deal, don't stress over it.'' I said with a nervous smiling trying to stop him from bowing to me.

''Ok then, I am going to teleport all of us.'' Said one of the bodyguards, this one looked like a magician.

''We're here.'' said the girl with a happy voice.
