Any law enforcement personnel in SaltTown who hasn't heard of the name Simon would feel embarrassed to say they work in the police system. Simon has won numerous provincial and municipal-level awards for his outstanding performance in cracking cases, but that's not the reason why he's so famous within the city's public security system. Police officers who receive various honors from departments at all levels throughout the year are commonplace, so where does Simon stand in the crowd? It's the case of his missing wife that has made Simon a household name. A detective's wife went missing and became an unsolved case, and that's the real reason why Simon is so famous.

He had no other option than to succumb to that.  He grew older to become so evil. Find out how he got his spiritual power and what he used it to accomplish.

But I must stress that he will develop and experience a major development in an important arc that's not too far ahead. He won't always be on the pages for the first section of the story, but he will still have a prominent role. Other characters in this world are given a fair share of time to express themselves and develop too. A lot. The first 10 chapters set up the BASIC story, but they are NOT exposition.
