CHAPTER 3

There were people I did not know all around me, each person had on a mask with a drawing on it, the drawing I guess says what your name is. I got to learn that nobody is to know what your real name is or what your mission is except for the 3 people in charge(which are Elijah, David and Lucy) and your supervisor( scorpion is my supervisor).

I was in the middle of the room. As my supervisor scorpion was meant to initiate me. Initiation had to do with him putting a rod on me which has already been in fire the rod had the simple drawing of a circle at the edge, I choose for him to put the mark on my back so I wore a sleeveless top and some jeans all black.

Scorpion walked to where I was standing and cleared his throat now all attention was on him and the whole place was dead quiet, "we are gathered here tonight because we want to welcome a new member, we are going to treat her like one of us and we are going to show her how we do things" he stopped and turned to me "are you ready?" he asked so I was the only one hearing him, I looked around him and my eyes landed on the rod that was in between us " hey" he called out to get my attention, I looked at him and he said "trust me everything will be fine" for some reason I don't know I felt comfort when I looked at his charming blue eyes, I nodded then he told me to turn around, I heard him pick up the rod and the next thing I felt was the hot fire on my back, for some reason I could move I just flinched a little. When he removed it I turned around and noticed that everywhere was silent and they were all looking at me like I had something on my face," guys, I present to you Dark Rose" scorpion said after he snapped out of his trance and every one cheered. He came close to me and said " welcome to the family Rose".

Two people came up to me and engulfed me in a hug " guys can you just let her be" I heard scorpion say from behind me. "Sorry sorry, I'm The Jade Vine but you can call me Jade and this is Saola. We are your roommates along with Scorpion" the girl said and she sounded soo excited. "Sorry about that, she just so excited because you re the only female roommate she has had since the last 1 year" Saola said, "what happened to your last roommate?" I asked. Jade kept her head down while Saola looked like he was looking for what to say, "none of that is your business. Just mind your business and maybe you won't end up like her" scorpion said right before he tried leaving (keyword-tried), I grabbed him by the arm just before he could leave and he turned to look at me with shock. " look I understand that you don't want to tell me about your last roommate but the least you could do is to tell me in a nice manner that you don't want to "and with that said I walked back to the room.

Sitting on my bed in the room I started think of all possible things that could go wrong with my staying here. My thoughts where interrupted when someone came in, I looked up to see Saola,"is there an arrangement with the names? "I asked him once he sat beside me "yeah. The guys have names of rare animals while the girls have the names of rare flowers" he replied.

We sat there in an awkward silence before Saola broke it "he didn't mean it"

"if he didn't want me to know he should have just said so".

" look once you get to know him he can be really nice. Everyone's down at the arena, you should come" "sure, it's not like I'm busy anyways" I replied then we stood up and left.

The place was well made up but I kept on wondering how they could get their hands on a few drinks "Michael provides the drinks just so we can have a little fun once in a while" Saola said, he must have notice the look on my face. We went ahead to meet

Jade and some other guys. "Hey guys. Rose meet Vaquita and Campion" (Vaquita is a guy while Campion is a girl). Saola came up behind Jade and whispered something in her ear that made her giggle "guys we have to go do something but we'll be back soon" then they left.

I spent most of the night with Campion and Vaquita who turned out to be drunk after a lot of drinking. I left them with a group of people and walked around, I suddenly got pulled into a room before I had time to react a hand was placed on my mouth. I noticed that it was Scorpion who had dragged me and we were in a classroom. When I had calmed down he removed his hand from my mouth, he turned to walk away but I noticed that he staggered a bit. "Hey, are you drunk?" I asked him "no, not at all. I just had a little to drink" he replied. I helped him onto one of the chairs and I sat next to him, we sat in a comfortable silence before he spoke breaking the silence "I'm sorry that I snapped at you"

"no problem. I understand".

"I want to show you something he said as he stood up and walked towards the front of the room, he switched something on and the room was filled with stars he switched off the light and it was more beautiful, he came back to sit beside. " sometimes when I want to see the night sky I come here" "its beautiful" I replied.

We sat there and actually had a good time talking about everything and anything then we decided to go back to our room because it was late and Scorpion said we had to wake up early tomorrow to train. Once we entered the room Jade and Saola were staring at us like something was wrong, Scorpion burst out laughing while holding his tummy and that's when I saw it. Jade kept touching her hair and Saola had a little shade of Jade's pink lipstick on his lips along with his messy hair. "OMG" I said, they all turned to look at me "what is it" Jade asked, "you two are dating " I said pointing to Jade and Saola. "How can you even say that" Saola said while scratching the back of his neck, I turned to look at Scorpion " please don't " he said "I beg you. Don't do this" he added, Jade and Saola kept looking at us weirdly.

With the time I had spent with Scorpion I found out I had an effect on him,well i had that effect on others and luckily for me it worked on him too " please" I begged "alright, yes they are dating" . "Dude" Saola shouted " I'm sorry but she does those things with her eyes and its hard to say no to her", "come on its like you are in love with her" Saola said.

Everyone was quiet, "Rose meet me at the arena tomorrow by 5. Don't be late" Scorpion said and walked out, "why did you have to say that" Jade scolded Saola.

We all went to sleep but Scorpion never came back to the room. I didn't even bother to ask about what just a happened because I didn't want to intrude again.
