Chapter 6: A Movie

Theo's POV:

I went out for my morning Jog and noticed Alice's Car in the driveway.

Did she not go to work today?

Or did she go out with someone?

A guy?

My run was cut short as I ran back to my house with multiple conclusions running through my mind.

"Lois, Alice's Car is still in her driveway did she call in sick or something"?"

"Relax, Simp, It's her day off as well as mine now stop being a morning cock block "

He hung up in my ears.

Rude

I'm his boss.

Not like that has stopped him from doing it before.

"Day-off, wonder how she spends it"

I pushed the curtain away.

Thank God I bought this telescope.

Alice's Pov:

I woke up with a fright this morning, rushing thinking I'm late for work but then realized it was my day off.

I slumped back into bed snuggling back into the sheets.

This is what happens when you're a workaholic.

I went to seep with a smile on my face, I could sleep until two.

*Five hours later*

The sleep until two plans didn't work out so I got dressed in leggings and decided to hop on my trendmill.

Get a good workout in.

*Ring*

"Hello?"

"Hey snow it's Theo, I got your number from the book the community committee gave me."

Why did I agree to that?

*Sigh*

"Yes, Theo how may I help you?"

"I am assuming you don't have work as I saw your car in your driveway and I was wondering if you would like to watch a movie."

"No thanks I'm busy"

"Doing what?"

"Working out"

"Then how about later "

"I'm cleaning then"

"And how about after that"

"Work"

"And after that"

I ran out of excuses.

"So you are free after, I was wondering if you would like to watch sing 2 with me?"

"I'll watch it in my own time"

"I have a home theatre with a popcorn machine"

" I'll be there by 9"

"Thought so, I'll see you later."

Don't Judge me, sing is pretty good and buster is adorable.

I gt all my chores then and headed over to Theo's.

I walked p to his door with my hair in a bun wearing sweats and a big bottle of coke in my hands.

"Hey , Mickey"

said opening the door.

"What?"

"Your sweats has Mickey on it"

"Oh"

"Follow me"

I walked behind him and scanned his house.

It was less monochrome than I expected, there was a lot of blue and gold and a few other colours.

He opened a door and began walking down a flight of stairs.

I've watched enough serial killer movies to know to never follow anyone into basements.

He stopped as he didn't hear footsteps behind him.

"Relax, I'm not gonna kill you"

"You promise"

"On all my life"

"Okay but just so you know I jiggled the soda on the way over here and I will blind you with coke."

I followed him downstairs and he got the lights.

"Wow, Nice layout"

It was a small theatre with 16 seats.

"Thanks"

I bounced over to the middle row and plumped my boot down.

"You not scared I'll kill you anymore"

"You can do that after the movie" I smiled, singing my feet like a little kid.

He looked at me and laughed.

"We have cheezy, caramel and butter popcorn as well as M&Ms and skittles and jolly ranchers"

"Or you trying to marry me, Theo, its all my favourite Candy"

"Would you ?"

"You'll need more than sweets to win my heart"

"I expected."

"I'llhave the caramel popcorn and every candy please"

"As you wish your majesty"

He brought mine over on a tray and went back for his then go the lights.

He played the movie and I zoned out completely focusing on the screen.

Theo's POV:

Thank God i got Lois to set up this home theatre.

She looked like a little kid at an amusement.

Cute.

I looked at her a little loner her attention completely on the screen and ignoring my existence but I was happy to see her enjoying herself.

That Deep investigation wasn't so bad at least I knew she wanted to watch this for a while and used it as an excuse to get her here.

Small Steps to her heart.

You move when the song ends your out, I need to get to her before it does, knowing when to advance and when to stand there as she observes me.
