Ok, so I was up late and I was thinking about how retarded almost everyone and everything was in cultivation novels. This soon led to me thinking 'Why? Why is everyone so retarded?' This is my theory on cultivation novels.

Chapter 1Cultivation

We all know what cultivation is right? "Yeah, watering and taking care of plants plants, duh!" No. Cultivation, in novels, is enhancing your body to become 'immortal' and 'defy the heavens!' and other grand and stupid things. Wuxia novels, Xiaxian novels, whatever always have one thing in common: Completely idiotic people that appear out of thin air. Why, its never explained. So here is a probable explanation (This is where things get nerdy): Cultivation slows down brain development. Yup, simple as that. That is why, in most novels, cultivators that have been alive for millions and millions of years, are so far behind Earth in terms of technology. This is also why people randomly attack the MC for no reason. Picture this: Most young masters have been cultivating for years, right? Most started when they are 8 to 6 years old. The moment you begin cultivating, it immediately stagnates your brain development. Now inject that brain with the hormones of a 18 year-old and load him up on money. Yeah, honestly, not very surprising that a young master would randomly attack someone. This also explains why the MC is so 'smart' compared to everyone else. He started cultivating really late. This concept also apply to the elderly people. They are stuck with a 8 year old brain while being who knows how old. That in itself is suffering. These people don't deserve our spite, everyone. They aren't idiots, they are just forced to become retarded! Please, if you ever see another young master or arrogant elder in any novel, don't curse them for being dumb, praise them for being alive as long as they have been with the insane amount of hormones they have coursing around in their heads.
