Invasion

Yang Su laid there in the bed, unable to sleep as she tosses and turns.

"There's no way that I fell in love right???"

Yang Su had read stories in the past about love and...this was quite similar to those heroines in stories. 

"I am a dignified Fox Queen! How could I fall in love with...."

She starts imaging Jian Yu smiling and her cheeks start to burn up. She covers herself with a blanket and kicks the air unwilling to believe it. 

"Did it backfire and now I'm the one in love?" She said as she was banging her head on the pillow. 

"It can't be...I'm a Demon, I don't even need sleep! That must be it."

Finally she gave up thinking altogether. 

"Yang Su?" Jian Yu said gently from outside the room. 

"Eh!?" She cried out, startled. 

"Are you asleep?"

"N-no!"

"Can you come outside then...I want to show you something."

Yang Su walks outside to see.

"Ahh!" but all of a sudden Jian Yu grabbed her waist and flew them to the roof.

"Sorry about that."

"I-it's fine. Just tell me when you do something like that again!"

He nods and turns to the moon. 

"What did you want to show me? Is it just the moon?"

"Actually, I think it's about to start! Look!!"

He points to the stars as they began to fall one by one. 

"A meteor shower!" 

The colorful lights continue to fall as if immortals were playing around. However the scene was ethereal nonetheless.

As they enjoy the meteor shower, he hands her a box. 

"What's this?" To this day, Jian Yu has never given her anything. 

"A gift to commemorate this day. I heard that mortals usually do this."

She smiles and opens it up. A hairpin with a green jade emerald embed in it. 

Yang Su smiles, "It's pretty. Here, put it on me."

He grabs it and awkwardly puts it on her. "How is it? Pretty?"

The lights from around fluctuated and Yang Su seemed to fit right in to the scenery. 

"...Pretty. Really pretty."

He can't help but smile. Jian Yu wanted to say something, but.....maybe it was for the best that they just enjoyed their time together for what it's worth.

The Wolf Demon smiles, "That Fox demon hasn't been seen lately?"

"Yes! Our scouts say that she left a month ago and never came back, could this be a trap?!"

"Who cares if it is?! Have we ever feared anyone or anything!? We attack! No question asked."

He looks at the demonic cultivators in disgust.

"You can attack TianZhen at the same time, remember, If you fail I'll eat you all."

The Wolf Demon Smiles hideously. "The hunts begins! We attack as soon as dawn arrives! They won't expect a attack then."

....

The next morning arrived. 

Yang Su put her hairpin in her hair while gently smiling. 

DING DING DING

Yang Su turns and walks out and sees Jian Yu. 

She asks, "What's happening Husband?"

"The bell rung three times, indicating a invasion."

Her heart beats quicker. Surely it can't be her fox tribe? Not with her orders at least.

"Do you know who's attacking?" She asks frantically.

He nods, "It's the demonic cultivators. This isn't the first time they've caused trouble. I'll just-"

"DON'T!!" She yelled. Yang Su was surprised that she had yelled so loud too.

Jian Yu looks at her gently and smiles. "I won't."

She looks down and tears seem to form. Jian Yu pats her head. 

"I'll get you some food, so stay here while they deal with it, okay?"

"Hmmm." She nods. 

Jian Yu left, but he still kept his divine sense in the area, so he would be able to react to any hidden attacks instantly. 

Yang Su also knew this since she detected his divine sense pass through her. 

Suddenly, her jade slip started glowing. 

She went back inside and infused it with spiritual qi letting a voice came through. 

"What is it?"

"Sister! That Wolf demon is attacking!"

"What!? Stall for as long as you can, I'll try to get there as soon as I can!"

She ran out. Jian Yu walks out from the kitchen and asks, "Whats wrong?"

"I need to check if...my family is okay." 

"Do you want me to come with you?"

'If Jian Yu were to come....He would kill all of us once he finds out I'm a demon!'

"No, I just wanted to check on them. I'll be back soon."

Yang Su walks until Jian Yu's could no longer detect her and then she ran. As she ran, she started morphing back into her true form, Su Su. 

"That damn wolf!"
