The woman stood facing Jason. Her face was a mask of darkness as black energy curled around her arms and body. Jason felt chills looking at her.

"Who are you", she questioned as Jason stood there unable to speak due to the sheer overwhelming aura of power she emanated.

"You better speak quickly young man. Who are you, and why are you here?"

The woman motioned towards the pile of body parts as she spoke again

"You don't seem like you are with these two, otherwise you would already be dead"

Jason with a bit of difficulty spoke

"Rex sent me. He said to find Morgana at the cemetery for the test:

"You must be him then, the chosen one although I don't see much at the moment", Morgana said examining Jason carefully not bothering to hide her disappointment

"At least you're not squeamish about killing and you have good spirit and ambition," she says noticing his eyes "You'll need it"

Jason watched the woman carefully as her aura dissipated and the lingering energy seeped into her, she glanced at the body pieces she entered her cottage.

"Watch your head and follow me", she said as Jason followed behind her, "I don't really have much belief in this chosen one nonsense but if our Lord deems it so I can only obey but you might find most of our followers though obedient you will have to prove yourself to them into their loyalty," Morgana said as she sat down with Jason standing before her.

"I Know," Jason said

"Good then before we go about anything else you will have to at least prove to me that you at t you have what it takes to commit to the cause and the will to do what needs to be done because your path to the power you seek will be littered with the corpses of countless, " Morgana said indifferently with a hint of coldness in her tone

"I have already resolved myself to walk this path, for I know what it means to be powerless, to have others decide your fate without the power to decide anything, to lose everything due to your inability and weakness, therefore, I too shall do whatever it takes to reach the pinnacle of power and shall I fall without reaching the end so be it", Jason said feeling that same chill with his sclera turning inky black

"Good those are some nice eyes you have there you are truly touched by the Dark One, then I have a task for you. It will prove your resolve and aid in the rituals needed for your initiation and class bestowment, " Morgana said with a bit of a laugh.

"What do you need done"

"I need you to kill someone for me and bring me their body, her name is Marian and she works at the stable for the Lux guardsmen."

"I don't suppose you could tell me why you want this Miriam dead" Jason asked.

"If you want to know she cheated me out of a silver coin so you are to kill her and anyone else in her household" Morgana said looking straight into Jason's eye.

Jason felt a bit hesitant after hearing that.

"You want power don't you or is your resolve so weak? To obtain the power you seek not only do you have to have the hunger for it but you must also learn to give into that hunger and trample all that stand in the way of you obtaining it without any hesitation. I want you to show me that you can embrace the dark. Now leave and come back when it is done", Morgana said coldly as a blast of mana pushed Jason out of the cottage and shut the door.

Jason got up with his resolve strengthened after hearing what Morgana said, he first went to the corpse of the man he killed and stripped him of his armour whiles checking his notifications.

Jason dismissed his notification as he finished stripping off the armour. He moved to a pump close by as he washed the blood of the armour, a crow landed nearby and crowed once as it stared at him. Equipping the armour which was a whole set of leather armour Jason moved towards the exit of the cemetery while thinking

'Nothing personal Miriam, but it seems that to obtain the power I seek you will be the first of many to die but for what it's worth I'm sorry

And with a chilling light in his eye, Jason walked on with a crow circling above him.
