The Meeting - 2
Veni could not describe how he was feeling at that moment. Just being in the presence of the princess made him feel somewhat special. He was so grateful to the guard that he had spoken to earlier that he needed to see the princess. The guard had brought him straight to where Princess Ruby was without asking so many questions. It was as if the princess had asked to see him too but Veni could not tell for sure.
"You did it, Veni," Princess Ruby said as Veni stood up from kissing her hand.
Veni looked around to see if the prince would come out from behind the shelves that the books had been arranged on, but he could not find the prince anywhere. He wondered if the prince was somewhere in the room and he wished that he was not. Veni had some questions that he wanted to ask the princess and he did not want the prince to be around to hear him talk about them.
