Chapter 28

Yesterday, Rissa informed Francheska about it. It seems like the actress chosen by Director Jamie got an injury and cannot proceed with the taping anymore. Fortunately, the crew has not yet announced the name of the actress who was supposed to play the female lead role. So to find a suitable actress for the role, Director Jamie will choose the best auditionee today to play the role of the female protagonist.

The first auditionee is a teenage girl named Janelle. Janelle is a newbie celebrity who was introduced in a daytime show last month. It is obvious to Francheska that Janella is extremely nervous right now. The way she stands in front of them was very stiff and awkward. When Janelle stuttered on her words while introducing them in front of them, an obvious blush crept on her cheeks. Francheska decided to help this celebrity to relax.

"Take a deep breath, dear. Inhale, exhale." Francheska instructed Janella in a soothing voice.

Janella followed her instruction and took a few deep breaths. Though her movements are not that stiff anymore, her nervousness is still evident on her face. Francheska gets up from her seat and stands beside Janelle. Then Francheska held both of Janelle's hands and looks at her with obvious excitement.

"Hannah, guess what? I received another note from my mysterious sender!" Francheska, who is playing the role of the female lead of this teenage drama, happily exclaimed.

"...Oh, really?! Be quick! Let me see the note too!" Janella said though she reacted a bit late because of her surprise.

"Sure! Here, let's read it together!" Francheska said before showing a piece of blank paper to Janella.

"Good morning, Rose. Please never let your pretty smile left your beautiful face... Rose, it's so..."

"So?"

"So cringey!" Janella exclaimed exaggeratedly. "Why do you even like this kind of thing?"

"Hannah, can't you see how romantic is this?"

"You are crazy, Rose. If the other students here will see you acting like this, I am pretty sure that you will become the headline on our school newspapers tomorrow."

"Hmph! Just admit it that you do not have any romantic bones in your body." Francheska said before pouting her lips.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, Rose."

"And cut!"

While Janella is taking a deep breath, Francheska is clapping her hands beside her. Francheska gently patted Janella's back before she returned to her seat.

"According to your portfolio, you have no experience in acting for a drama yet." Director Jamie said as she flipped the pages of Janella's portfolio.

"That's right, director."

"Hmm..."

The director looked at the young celebrity standing in front of them. This time, Janella is not nervous anymore and she even showed them a smile. Seeing her like this, Francheska also smiled at her.

"Alright. Here is my feedback on your acting today. Though you had an awkward start earlier, you still managed to deliver your lines clearly. You even show the right emotions needed on that scene. I cannot say your acting is perfect, but it can be polished to perfection after a few more acting lessons."

Janella nodded her head to show that she accepted the feedback.

"That's all for now. Go home first and wait for the news. Call up the next auditioner!" Director Jamie said and the assistant beside them rushed and did his job.

"Thank you for today." Janella said before bowing her head towards the judges. But she is more thankful to Francheska who helped her in this audition.

"She's quite good for an actress who does not have any acting experiences yet." Director Jamie commented when they saw a young celebrity exited the room.

"I know. She's a diamond in a rough." Francheska added.

Outside the audition room, the atmosphere became extremely intense the moment a staff shouted for the first auditionee to enter the room. The remaining actors and actresses who came for the audition took their script again, read it painstakingly for each and every second as if they are students anxiously cramming for a hard examination. The only one who is relaxing at this moment is Giselle.

Giselle is sitting on a monobloc chair while checking her newly painted nails. She even checked her phone and sometimes took a photo of herself before posting it on social media. Trying to garner more followers today, Giselle decided to tag her sister's social media account on her post. She is too busy editing her photo and did not bother to read her scripts again.

Most of the auditionees today was already a part of show business. But they are either a newbie or an artist who does not have any solid foundation in the entertainment circle yet. So it will be a huge booster for their career if they will become a part of Director Jamie's teenage drama. But Giselle doesn't care about it.

Giselle believes that she can get a role in this drama. Whoever the director inside that audition room, with her sister's background and Iñigo's influence, Giselle believes that she will easily pass this audition. For her, the entertainment circle is just an easy path for fame and money.
