Fifty Million euros was the amount that Evelyn had in her account. Days later, it became a hundred million.
She had a hundred million in her account.
A whopping 100,000,000.
Evelyn little event from someone who had to work extra and drop a semester for the lack of money e to someone who could take and change as many classes as she wanted for the next 50 years of her life.
She still glanced at the number that the bank had sent her. That was the amount that her father earned through his businesses and now those were hers.
And this was just 30% of the profit.
She sighed and moved out of the room. She was still not used to the grandeur of the house. Not only that Evelyn had never seen a speck of dust on anything. Neither had she seen Alexis yell at anyone in the house. In fact the only time she could hear Alexis was when she was yelling at Marcello.
Which was fun.
Just as now in front of her Alexis was pulling the year of Marcelo as she gritted out the words, "Did I or did I not tell you to go to the college today?"
"You did." He whined as he winced at the pain felt.
"Well?" She twisted it more, "Why didn't you?"
Evelyn stared at them with a wide smile on her face.
"I woke up late and then Agatha gave me a lot of food and then I was lazy and I went back to bed."
Evelyn stifled her laughter.
"Are you serious!" Alexis's furious voice boomed over the ears. "Don't you dare try to put the blame on someone like her! Do that again and I will make sure that you have to make your food from scratch."
Marcello winced even more because she yelled in his ear. "Mama, please."
"Please what?" She spat. "I have had enough of you."
"But I don't even need to go, Papa will take care of it-ahh!" By the end, Marcello had to yell out the words because Alexis had twisted his ear even harder.
Evelyn giggled, no longer being able to hold her giggles in anymore. Marcello was no less than a grown man and Alexis was almost at the height of his chest. It was comical to see a woman twist the ear of a man that were a foot taller than her.
"Oh hi honey," Alexis smield her way. "Sorry for this. At times, it is necessary for me to discipline him."
"Totally understandable," Evelyn aved her hand in the air as she gave her a nod.
Marcello glared at her before wincing. "Mama . . "
"Evelyn, what College do you go to?" Angelo asked as he entered the kitchen and open the fridge ignoring what was happening with his son and wife.
It took Evelyn a few seconds to register that she was being addressed. "Um . . The—"
"I think it would be better if you go to the university of Florence along with Marcello. People over there who he is and we have tight security in that place. If you go there as well it would be easier to keep an eye on both of you."
Her mouth went into an 'ooh' shape. The entire time, Angelo made it seem like he was asking her something but in the end turned the conversation into what he wanted to happen. Evelyn knew better and it was obvious that he had already made sure that she was going to go to the university of Florence.
She knew better. "Semester?"
"Second." He answered right away confirming her suspicion of transferring her without her knowledge. "If you want to change your major I will have the papers sent to your room. Other than that everything is going to be the same. Is that alright with you?"
" Yeah, well no," she shook her head. She didn't want to change something and now that she had the money to change it, Evelyn did not want to lag behind. "I didn't have the funds earlier but now I was thinking if I could major in business and psychology as the other one."
Angelo was now giving her his full attention. " I like that. If you want to start psychology you will have to shift to the first semester. That means you're going to be free for 6 months. Is that alright with you?"
She nodded. At least in that way she could already get started. "I'm good."
"Good," Angelo's eyes went to Marcello, "your major is the same as her. If I see you bunking around the class next time, you better watch it boy."
Marcello gulped.
