Brand had the life that most of us dream of spending his days in a forest with few cares and worries however he had a friend Dolan and he is a devoted believer in magic to such a degree that he often dragged Brand into his rituals. Dolan had called Brand up and had him come over to his mansion unbeknownst to Brand secretly Dolan had found an ancient manuscript and he had finally successfully translated it and was going to do something unpleasant as a test and his favorite test subject was available. Brand willingly entered the ritual circle and then he was murdered by Dolan as his life faded Dolan chanted out the ritual an ancient spell that should have been lost to time Some uncountable time later Brand awakes naked in the middle of a field with no sign of human habitation in sight well not modern housing any way. The summary: man's friend betrays and murders Mc who then wakes up in a strange new place.
