Episode 39

I spent the whole night with Genevieve. The doctors were in my room and advised that I stay in the hospital for some weeks before they would discharge me. I won't say I was not disappointed when they said that. I was very disappointed because me staying in the hospital would mean no school for me in the next couple of weeks and that bothered me a lot.

I had no choice than to stick with what they told me. And stayed put in the hospital. I had not seen Uncle since I woke up and that kept me a bit worried. I did not want to ask about it when Genevieve came back later with the empty clean bowl. I really did not want to ask about it at all. But I was growing worried and it was bothering me so I asked her.

"Where is your father? I haven't seen him ever since I woke up. Did something happen at home?"

Genevieve seemed uneasy to answer my question. She quickly covered her uneasiness with a crooked smile which did not even reach up to her eyes.
