KEVIN
It wasn't a dream.
I wasn't dreaming. I was wide awake, and Margaux was standing before me, right on the same rooftop.
She and I caught each other's gaze, and there was no denying that both of us were awkwardly trying to figure out what to say or do next.
A wind blew past us, and all I could do was merely stare towards her. The words I had wanted to say disappeared. All I wanted to do was pull her towards me and crush her in a tight hug.
After a few minutes more of silence between us, Margaux finally cleared her throat. She looked at me and opened her mouth to speak.
"You don't have to explain," I stated, cutting off the apology I knew she was about to say.
Everyone else left us to have a moment. I wasn't exactly thrilled by Shiro's idea.
Margaux and I weren't ready to face each other. But if we waited until we were ready, who knew when would that be?
So, partially, I felt grateful towards him.
