Business meeting

When we arrived at the office, Melvin and I exited the vehicle. As we entered the office, he put his hand on mine, and we continued our journey.

When I open the door to the conference room, I see Seraphina, Miguel, and Zinnia seated behind the desk. Their presence is noticeable.

Miguel receives Seraphina's gaze. She was interrupted by Miguel while she was saying, "I want you to meet my photographer..."

It was Katherine and Melvin. It's been quite some time."

Between us, she stares at us. "You know each other?"

"Yeah, we went to school together," Miguel reveals this to her. He is looking at me. For my clothing business, I would like for you to be in charge of the picture sessions. I heard that you were the top photographer in Los Angeles. After discussing everything with Seraphina, she indicated she would lend you to me.

I take a peek at Seraphina. "Can I talk to you outside?"

She gives me a nod and then follows me out the door.

I shut the door. "Are you alright with me working with him?"

Seraphina is crouching forward. "Melvin, what do you want?"

After saying, "Why you little…," he tickles me.

I find myself chuckling.

After everyone else has turned their backs, Zinnia gives me the thumbs up.

What appears to be the case is that she gives her blessing to the manner in which we ought to behave together regarding the proposed engagement. I only need to make it through dinner at my parents' house, Melvin. That is all I have to do.

A ringing sound comes from the phone, and everyone in the room checks their phones.

Zinnia flashes a grin. "I have to take this call." He exits the room with a sly grin.

The singer Seraphina clears her throat. "Only one guy can make her smile like that."

"I never knew she had a guy."

At the table, Seraphina casts her gaze. This is true. Due to his military presence, she does not see him very often. She informed me that he will be returning this coming weekend. I guess that he is going to leave the military. He shared his desire to begin a family with her during his most recent visit to this location. His passion for the same thing that she does makes her very happy.

Miguel gives her a look. "Did you ever want that with me?"

One of Seraphina's hands is placed on his. "Of course I did, but you blew it when I caught you with that stripper."

"I did not engage in any activity with her. Even though she lied to you, you believed the words of a lady willing to display all of her parts to any man interested in having fun.

Because of this, Seraphina makes fists with her hands, and her face turns crimson.

I grab Melvin's hand. "We should get out of here. I don't want to be around Seraphina when she goes off." We make a hasty exit from the room.

Immediately after hanging up the phone, Zinnia turns her attention to us. "Where is the fire?"

"In the conference room."

"What the hell! So, what exactly did he do this time?

Miguel asked Seraphina whether she would like to establish a family with him, and Seraphina informed us that Miguel is interested in starting a family with you."
