FALLING IN PLACE

Ashley laid on the huge bed staring at Cole's sleeping face; she was lost in his cuteness. Ever since Aria left all she felt was peace and her love for Cole began growing, even if he was still in love with Ayla. She wanted to be the one to make him love again.

She closed up the space between them as she felt the heat of his body spread into hers. "Could she ever live without him?" she kept wondering.

She still couldn't sleep she wished he could love her back but she had a feeling it was going to be impossible. As far as she was with him she felt comfortable even if she wasn't something to him yet, she just wanted him to be happy.

She lightly brushed off the strand of hair on his face and placed a gentle kiss on his forehead.

"One day I hope you love me back…even if I'm only a …" she paused realizing that she wasn't even a blood bag.

She wondered how he survived all this day without taking her blood, was he cured?

"Tell me, are you a superman of any kind, how did you survive without my blood?" she playfully asked a rhetorical question to his sleeping frame.

Cole's eyes flung open, revealing his supernatural-looking grey eyes.

This scared Ashley as she knew all she had said, she was frightened at the way he woke up and also worried that he might have heard her. She noticed the position she was in; her elbow held her upper body above the bed and her eyes were scanning his face like a camera. She was so close to him, closer than she should have been.

She abruptly spaced away from him but before she could, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him. It was a shock to her but what surprise could be better than this?

He held her like she was a precious teddy bear he wanted to protect but when she turned to him with a questioning look, he was already asleep. She concluded that he did it sleepily.

She finally slept off in the arms of the only person she could trust in her entire life.

Meanwhile, Cole was wide awake, he had heard it all but he decided not to make any action. Till he was able to solve this mystery he was willing to wait to express his feelings to her.

He had been quenching his bloodlust by taking the (OTAs) oxygen therapeutic agents also known as artificial blood he had been ordering at high confidentiality from a research lab. He had made up his mind not to take blood anymore; he didn't want his bloodlust to take the people he loved away, and he didn't want it to take Ashley as it did to Ayla. To him, Ashley was his second chance to honor Ayla, he took Ashley as his Ayla.

Janet ran as fast as her legs could take her toward the area where the maids had pointed out, she didn't want to lose Tegan. She saw his car driving out of the villa's gate feet away from her, she ran after the car as though her life depended on it.

Soon it was out of the gate and the gate shut in her face.

"Please open the gate!", she begged.

"No, you have to go through the pedestrian gate" the gatekeeper insisted.

She was about to plead one more time but his car soon sped off. Before she knew it, it was so far from the villa that she lost hope. She had already started to regret not accepting his apologies.

"How could a maid like me believe that he'll never see anyone better?" she thought.

She rubbed the thought off her mind by reminding herself that even a common maid like her deserved fair and trustworthy love.

She decided to let it all go, all their memories, arguments, and moments but not before she had a final talk with him.

"Hello, this is Ashley West, how can I help you?" Ashley replied to the call she got from a private number.

"Ashley, help me, someone is trying to attack me and my baby" the voice whispered in panic mode said.

It sounded like Aria.

"Aria?...who? where?" she asked.

"I don't know, they kidnapped me on my way home and they brought me somewhere I don't know… I escaped and found a phone but they're still chasing me" she whispered more quietly.

"Okay… calm down, where are you? I'll tell Cole to…"

"Please don't he might not want to save me and he might not even let you come to my rescue." She whispered.

"Don't worry just send me your location, I'll make sure I find you." She replied. "Keep the call going so I can hear everything going on"

"Okay," she whispered.

Soon the call hung up, and this increased Ashley's fear. She called back but there was no reply. She decided not to call back to avoid directing the chasers over to her.

"Hello," Cole replied to Kim's call.

"Hello Sir, I found evidence, that can close this case." He spoke.

"Where is it? Send it to me" he replied in excitement. "What does it say?"

"I'm sorry Sir but you have to come over to the mortuary to see it yourself" he replied.

"Mortuary? Why?" he asked.

"I'm sorry, I can't explain it clearly to you over the phone, you have to hear it from the staff over here" he replied.

"Okay I'll be there" he replied.

Cole hurried to the room preparing to leave when Ashley burst into the room with a face filled with shock and fear.

"Cole! Aria is in big trouble… please help her" she said in a panic.

"Do not tell me anything relating to Aria, and do not even think of going close to her" he said to seal up the whole situation without fully listening to her.

He was running out of time and he didn't want to listen to anything about Aria.

"I'm going to an important meeting, make sure are stay out of trouble and do not go anywhere close to Aria or Vincent" he warned before rushing out.

"But…" Ashley said but stopped once he rushed out of the room.

She knew he wasn't going to listen to anything about Aria so she made up her mind to go there herself. This was a matter of life and death for Aria and her child. She wasn't going to let that child suffer off her dislike for Aria, even if it wasn't Cole's.
